And idk man foldables just suck for me. You do you man.

My wife has s22u and its a similar width to v3, so the difference is similar as well (video size on a regular phone is limited by it's width, not height) ...Also, when you're watching videos on foldable, you gotta turn it around horizontally too, cause thats its larger width - ESPECIALLY with Zfolds that are extra narrow, so even when you unfold it, its still not that wide - gotta rotate it and use its height as width, only then you get a format optimal for wide content (videos and most games). ...again, trifold is cool, but extremely venerable on the outside and not optimal for photo viewing, photos are 4:3.

Not to mention the weird aspect ratio not being that widely supported, which is why I'm a huge fan of the Tri Fold, big enough for me AND the aspect ratio is something normal tabs use so you can just use the normal tab version of the apps.
User935, 29 Apr 2025Exactly. Whereby, not saying it isn't true, but I'm always surprised with people say... moreOne of my family members just had a SanDisk card bite the dust in their TCL 50R work phone, like this week. Meanwhile I've had tons of mine go with no apparent reasoning on any of them, all but one of the failures were Kingston. All from reputable retailers too. I realise that's probably just horrific luck and so far some Kioxia cards I got recently have been trouble free, but sometimes it feels like I end up with all the card failures others don't have.
Either way, not an excuse for manufacturers to save pennies even if I'll never touch it. Like I have zero interest in taking pictures of myself but I wouldn't be demanding the removal of the front facing camera.

Btw, i was arguing with a friend recently regarding the videos, we calculated the exact surface area of a 16:9 video on a closed phone is 78cm², while on the open phone is 125cm² (black bars excluded, only video surface area) - and thats on V3 which has a quite large outer screen, so the difference is not that small

Whereby, not saying it isn't true, but I'm always surprised with people saying memory cards die on them. NO.
Give me the X100U camera set up with the newest Snapdragon for under €800 and I'll buy it. I'll buy two.

NFB, 28 Apr 2025A user who talks here about micro SD slots or a jack connector in 2025 doesn't deserve a ... moreYou don't need to defend phone manufacturers for saving literal pennies on what a phone costs. A lot of people just want headphones that don't disconnect 50% of the time and aren't e-waste in 5 years maximum. I don't use SD cards myself (I can't trust them, they die constantly for me) but that doesn't change the fact that it doesn't affect their bottom line to include it anyway.
And actually, having DAB / FM would be nice at work where I have no phone signal.

if you genuinely think microsd card slots aren't necessary on a cameraphone then you must not use your phone's camera much.
Ronalynda, 28 Apr 2025Are you THAT delusional? 😭Actually it's 24mm on the main camera of the k60 pro. It's not delusional. So you think a crop from a 14mm camera sensor that uses 2*2ocl to 23/24mm is going to be better than a 1/1.49" imx800 at its actual focal length? Anyway, I've tried it so I know it's not. The worse the light gets the worse sensor crop works also. Of course the camera sensor is better and would be better if both were at a native focal length of 24mm but the sensor crop cannot match a phone that shoots at the actual photo length at least any phone with a decent sensor. Nothing delusional about that

My wife's phone's memory is becoming full. 57,99 € and two days for shipping later, she has an additional 512 GB in it.
A colleague's iPhone's memory is full and she's deciding for a week or two now if she'll buy a used 15 from another colleague or a new one. So 700 or so or 1500 € expense, for less memory than my wife got. Simply ingenious!
Also, the battery on one of my wife's BT headphones is apparently dying (as they all do within a few years) so they don't really work as they should, she simply uses her old wired ones in the 3,5 mm jack till she decides what to buy or not buy next.
I'm finding it really hard to imagine the twisted reality you people are living in where it would be beneficial for my wife not to have a microSD slot and 3,5 mm jack right now.
Also, yes, FM/DAB radio can be very useful and it's ridiculous that the phone manufacturers aren't letting us use that tech.
If pricing would be China price+vat yes, but because it is China price+vat+xxx I am not buying.
