Then go ahead, but remember Nokia and LG? They were both big names having lots of fans like you (I too used to like Nokia), but how are they now? Nokia turned into a zombie, LG is dead. Were their fans able to save them? Sony is making the same mistakes that took out Nokia and LG: failing to keep up with good trends (removing 3.5mm jack and free charger is absolulety wrong) and following some pointless creations. Still, I do hope Sony will change to at least avoid those fates.

It’s fascinating to see how one immediately becomes a Sony fanboy when he/she likes the xperia 1 iii. That’s the killer argument not further discussion needed.
I for example search for a phone by making a list of features I need to have and then try to find a phone which offers me as many of them as possible. e.g. no phone that comes close to my wish list offers an exchangeable battery, also a fm radio is a feature I can´t get. At least the Sony offers a great battery management.
To me features like a dedicated camera button (which wakes up the cam in a second), an expandable storage, a headphone jack (to run my bayerdynamics t5p), superfast & sticky AF (eye AF is a big plus), a colour accurate calibrated high resolution screen (as near to 100% sRGB as possible), no notch, water resistance, a camera setup form wide angle to portrait zoom range with fast aperture (for family, street photo and travel snapshots) and a decent battery life (the phone needs to get me through the day) are important to me.
The only flagship phone which provides these features on the market is the xperia 1 iii. To me it is the only flagship phone on the market.
Phones from other companies are lacking to many features to be called flagships. They are lacking features like expandable storage or headphone jack which middle class phones have, so to me they don’t qualify as flagship which offers middle class features + more.
So yes the price of the Sony is very high. I’d say prices of top smartphones in general are too high. But when I compare the Sony with the others I find the price acceptable. Especially considering the starter bundle with the headphones, which I’m going to sell on ebay, since I have much better headphones and it brings down the price for me.

Yeah, so if you think people are buying those expensive professional grade equipments just to get off to themselves spending tons of money and make them feel "comfortable" or "elegant", then you clearly have no clue what luxury actually means.

They did so much of R & D & invested billions to bring this quality product, they are not like other brands who just copies others work & release a low quality phone with bugs, there are other brands u will get for competitive, if u need a good product u need to pay extra money.

One could say Caviar's phones are luxury because they just make them obsenely expensive by sticking gold and diamonds on them, but it's just regular phones with diaomnds and gold so they don't actually make the phones itself.
