Pretty much not a single smartphone manufacturer makes all their own hardware. Not even Samsung. Some don't even have their own assembly, but also outsource that as well.

O.K. but sometimes it's little too long and they don't even release some info. It could be more predictable.
And those global prices please, make 'em more similar to chinese... not like Mi 9T about 400 EUR in my country's Mi Store... LOL I'd hardly buy it there (online shops cheaper).

1. Importers in your country buy them cheaper phones and that will later cut your prices.
2. I don't know their business strategy if they cut also other prices but they did it for reason =competition =other brand's new phones. So I'd say maybe not immediately but yes.

Even if they were handing out phones for free in India I wouldn't want to live there. I'm happy for them if they get a good deal on their phones at least.

Xiaomi does reduce the price but NOT upon release and definitely NOT because of a petition. It's mainly a response to the barrage of phones released by other brands like Samsung, Vivo, Realme, Motorola, etc.
