I like the Meizu 15 plus cuz they utilized the regular 16:9AR with minimal bezels..not the flood of elongated 18:9AR screens. I would have loved to see a higher capacity 4000mAh battery. Let's hope the upcoming Meizu 16 Plus will keep the 16:9AR, shrink the top n bottom bezels further since the fingerprint sensor will be embedded underneath the screen, a huge capacity 4000mAh battery plus a good camera. Put in multi mode world bands and make it a global phone.

As for the flagship requirements, I agree with you. If anything absent from your list, this phone will just become a flagship alternative, not a flagship killer.

Here they say normal 16 will have 5.6" display so looks like it will be bellow 145mm, yes!
Im this close to get a sammy S9, but this meizu16 would be perfect.

Mm, too much comments means it have already hit so hard... Great design, no notch(having a notch is not 2018) design wise really satisfied, it's not ugly even a little... Most are complaining about copying,.. If you don't know about meizu phones just have a look at all of their past designs.. You don't even talk about anything when they do unique, when they done unique you say it's useless.. Argh.. How to explain to these kind of people..Those unique things really added beauty to their devices.
Meizu doesn't almost follow the trend,(notch is not trend, it sucks)... they always tend to do unique things.. Curved antenna lines, mback button, ring flash with laser, secondary display on back:these were really unique..and remember those things were done in the midrange devices.. They haven't still came to the flagship level.. But this model will compete with flagship devices. (Sd845 version).
To become flagship level this thing have to be IP certified, support NFC, wireless charging(looks like it have a metal back,so negative sign),facial recognition, front facing or any kind of stereo speakers(i really want this), high quality audio via headphone jack(removing 3.5mm jack is a marketing startegy combined with earphone, headphone, Bluetooth device manufacturing companies, so having the 3.5mm jack is a plus point for customers not for those companies), 2k display(super amoled) with smooth touch sensitivity, superb camera performance, and superb performance(ram management and fast processor speed,sd845 confirmed),in-display fingerprint scanner is 2018,... If these things completed by them, this thing undoubtedly become a flagship competitor..(not sure they will do all of these things though. )

If this is shapping to look like a S8/S9 front design, no notch and back from P20 Pro w/ in-display reader w/ either exynos or sd chipset I don't mind getting one. As long as Meizu would include sd card support and IP68 rating, then I'm convinced.

Look it up if you dont know. That is what happening in Japan. Its both a good thing and a bad thing. I dont want my phone to look so different from the rest of the world. Even different charger port, different battery, different plugs, different shape. That just sucks.

The fact that people keep on saying copy infuriates me. What if no companies copied, hmm? Lemme tell you. All would have designs unique, BUT not everybody would have the common features of a flagship, such as water proofing, wireless charging, Face ID, iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, two cameras, and a bunch of other stuff. So what if it looks like another phone? If the phone works better than the original, it's improving the overall phone and quality

So Huawei copied Apple and Meizu is copying Huawei wow.
People hates Sony and HTC while this two company is the only brand that doesn't copy design from others especially Sony.
If companies is going to copy others well they should at least make it not obvious like LG did.
