Motorola announced the Signature 27 in September at the Snapdragon Summit, where Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chips. The Signature 27, slated to launch on November 5, will be powered by the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and it just flexed its muscle on Geekbench.
The Motorola Signature 27 that ran Geekbench 7.1 runs Android 17, has 12GB of RAM, and scored 3,313 and 11,088 points in Geekbench's single and multi-core tests, respectively. However, you can expect better performance from the retail units.
Motorola hasn't detailed the Signature 27's specs sheet yet, but it has confirmed the smartphone will come with a 50MP Sony LYT 910 primary camera and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. It will also feature an ArcticMesh cooling system with a vapor chamber that's 40% larger than the one in the previous generation.
Motorola Signature 27's color options
Motorola also said the Signature 27 will receive OS updates for seven years, feature Audio by Bang & Olufsen, and come in two colors - Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Olive.
All the native mobile games are running fine with the new chip. It's things like running local AI, video editing apps, and PC emulation/games that will tell the real story.
There are brands that write software to make sure temperature never crosses a certain point by not hitting the highest clock speeds during benchmarks. All this to score higher. Any other heavy task is gonna throttle the phone
Not an SD8Gen6 issue either. Tablets with this chipset don't have the problems smartphone has.
