MediaTek Mobile hardware

Earlier this week, MediaTek announced its latest flagship chipset – the Dimensity 9600 Pro and it turns out that’s not the only new SoC from the maker. The Dimensity 9600M is an upcoming chip that’s bringing some software and AI features from the 9600 Pro to a broader segment of flagship phones.

MediaTek Dimensity 9600M is also official

From a hardware perspective, the 9600M is essentially a repackaged Dimensity 9500, fabbed on TSMC’s 3nm N3P process with identical components. It gets the same all-large-core CPU with a max frequency of 4.21GHz on the C1-Ultra core. The same applies to the Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU and the APU 990 NPU, which are unchanged.

Specification Dimensity 9600M

The 9600M does get MediaTek’s latest Agentic AI Engine and Dimensity Scheduling Engine, making it more capable for AI tasks. The first Dimensity 9600M phones are expected to launch later this quarter, with the vivo X500 and Oppo Find X10 expected to be among the first devices to reach the market.

Cool video showing nothing of substance. So, allegedly Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 17 support it but it's only available in Thailand, India, Singapore and Hong Kong. Not supported anywhere else in the world.

just because the SOC theoretically supports Dual SIM dual active doesn't mean there is an actual smartphone supporting it too. You would need 2 separate sets of radios for it to work. Not a single smartphone supports Dual SIM dual Active....
