Just announced, and in the office, meet the Infinix GT 50 Pro, a high-end phone with some clever gaming-centric innovation. You can check out our quick unboxing video here.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro comes in Black Abyss, Red Blaze, and Silver Glacier colors, and in either 12/256GB or 12/512GB trim. Prices start from IDR 6,499,000 ($376/€330 converted), and sales begin tomorrow. Let's unbox it.

The phone comes with a 45W charger, a USB cable, and a case with a magnetic ring on the back.

Those magnets play a crucial role when using the GT 50 Pro with Infinix's new MagCharge Cooler 2.0 accessory, which we've also got to show you.

It attaches magnetically to the back of the phone and can deliver both 15W of wireless charging and 12W of thermoelectric cooling (TEC). Infinix says this is an industry first.

You can also enable wireless bypass charging, which will deliver power directly to the motherboard while gaming.

Specs-wise, the Infinix GT 50 Pro features a Dimensity 8400 SoC with an all-big core processor. RAM is 12GB of LPDDR5X, and storage is UFS 4.1.

There's either a 6,500mAh or 6,150mAh battery with 45W wired, 30W wireless, and 10W reverse wired charging.

The display is a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED with up to 4,500 nits of brightness.

In the hand, the GT 50 Pro feels nice and quality-made. The red color we've got is out of the ordinary, and the all-flat design should be to most people's taste, too.

Back to the innovative stuff. The phone has a dynamic RGB light array on the back, which integrates into the HydroFlow liquid cooling system, which covers an impressive 6,437mm² of real estate.

The liquid cooling is real and is really cool (no pun intended). Just flip the switch, and you'll see the cooling liquid start to move on the back of the phone.

It's a clever visual, but of course, the real magic happens behind the panel and around the SoC.

There are also shoulder triggers on the Infinix GT 50 Pro, which are cleverer than most buttons on phones these days. They're not actual pushers, but the haptics do a fine job of making you feel like they are. They have 10 levels of adjustable pressure sensitivity and 8 mapping points.

And, they're not just for gaming - you can use them to launch apps and control the zoom levels in the camera app.

Fot the same price you can buy the Poco X8 Pro with better IP rating and a better chipset. For ~20% more you can buy the X8 Pro Max with a MUCH better chipset, better IP rating and a 8500Mah battery.
