About this map
Realtime live train map
TrainTracker24 shows passenger trains in service on an interactive map: France, Spain, Belgium and some high-speed links. Open a train or station for times, delays and details. Independent of operators.
TrainTracker24 is a live train map and realtime train tracker, like Flightradar24 but for trains: a train radar with GPS or estimated positions depending on the feed. Watch passenger trains in real time across France, Spain and Belgium.
Unlike a basic traffic bulletin, the map shows where trains are running in realtime across the network — not only the delay for one train number.
Passenger trains in service now
The map shows passenger trains in service, with a position updated continuously. Open any marker for the route, times and delay. TrainTracker24 is independent of operators and does not sell tickets.
Track trains in realtime
Open a train for stops, scheduled and estimated times, and how the delay evolves. Filter the map by operator or line type. Positions are GPS when a feed provides them, otherwise estimated from timetables and delays.
Realtime trains in France, Spain and Belgium
Current coverage includes France (SNCF including OUIGO, TER, TGV and Intercités, plus Eurostar, Lyria, Trenitalia France, Zou), Spain (Renfe, Cercanías, Ouigo España, FGC, Euskotren) and Belgium (SNCB), as well as some high-speed links.
The heart of the map
Current coverage includes France (SNCF including OUIGO, TER, TGV and Intercités, plus Eurostar, Lyria, Trenitalia France, Zou, and some ICE), Spain (Renfe, Cercanías, Ouigo España, FGC, Euskotren) and Belgium (SNCB).
Trains are positioned from public operator data: timetables, real-time updates, and GPS when available.
How a position is calculated
- GPS: when the feed provides a usable real location (with the time of the last update). Example: Renfe.
- Estimated live: most trains without GPS tracking are positioned using their real-time delay. Positioning accuracy therefore usually depends on how reliable that data is.
- Timetable only: if the operator provides neither GPS nor live delay and disruption updates. In that case the train is placed on its static schedule.
Algorithm and extrapolation engine
Our train positioning algorithm is highly advanced. All routes are based on SNCF / OpenStreetMap data and are manually verified, including with the community. It accounts for delays, speeds, rolling-stock profiles, diversions and many disruptions (reroutes, closed sections, fires, and more), which improves estimated positioning when GPS is not available.
On a train sheet
Open any marker for origin and destination, intermediate stops, scheduled and estimated times, delay evolution, platforms when the feed publishes them, composition and unit numbers when known, and photos when contributors or fallbacks exist.
Filters and the rest of the product
Filters beside search narrow the map by line speed (high-speed, fast, regional, local) or by operator, and can show closed or service tracks. Elsewhere in the app: search by train number or station, journey log, station and train photos, network data, lines, operators and statistics (richer views with Essentiel). FAQ and contact are in the app.
Train and station information
For each train: station times, delay, traffic info, rolling stock and services when known, unit number and advanced statistics. For stations, TrainTracker24 offers detailed information: departure and arrival boards, individual statistics, description, community photos, served connections, and more. The map also provides detailed infrastructure layers (level crossings, electrification, track gauge, platforms, kilometre posts, speeds, and more).
Contributions
TrainTracker24 lets users contribute by adding station and train photos, or by reporting a unit number for a given circulation. Thanks to this system, everyone gets more precise information and community images, while contributors earn points that can unlock free subscriptions and climb the top contributors ranking.
