🚀 Excited to share my latest project: a fully autonomous Smart Warehouse Management System built using the Agent Communication Protocol (ACP)! This innovative system features four intelligent agents InventoryBot, OrderProcessor, LogisticsBot, and WarehouseManager working seamlessly together to manage stock, schedule deliveries, and handle reorders, all through standardized, real-time communication. 🌟 What is ACP? ACP is a framework that enables autonomous agents to communicate effectively using structured messages with defined performatives (e.g., ASK, REQUEST_ACTION, TELL, CONFIRM). It ensures clear, reliable interactions, making it ideal for complex systems like smart warehouses where coordination is key. 🌟 How It Works: Scenario 1: Stock Alert & Reorder - The OrderProcessor checks stock levels with InventoryBot and triggers reorders to maintain minimum availability (e.g., reordering to fill low laptop stock). Scenario 2: Delivery Scheduling - The WarehouseManager directs LogisticsBot to schedule deliveries of goods, with LogisticsBot confirming the schedule including a tracking ID for transparency. Scenario 3: Low Stock Management - InventoryBot alerts the WarehouseManager of low stock (e.g., 5 tablets), prompting a confirmation that 15 tablets are needed; the WarehouseManager then requests OrderProcessor to place an order for 15 tablets, with OrderProcessor confirming via a PO number. The interactive frontend visualizes these interactions, complete with a Statistics dashboard (e.g., total messages: 6, active conversations: 3, registered agents: 4) to monitor performance, making it perfect for real-world adoption. 🏭Impact on Logistics: This solution transforms the logistics industry by reducing manual oversight, optimizing stock levels, and streamlining delivery schedules. With real-time data and automated reordering, warehouses can operate 24/7, cut costs, and improve customer satisfaction key drivers in today’s fast-paced supply chain. This showcase how AI and ACP can revolutionize warehouse management. Check out the demo video to see it in action!

Yesterday I posted a case study on how we reduced a client's time to contract and invoice by 30% and saved them 5-7 hours per week. Here's exactly how: After posting this yesterday, I'm receiving a lot of messages asking how we did it. I thought I'd make a post about this. Here's exactly how we did it: First, we mapped out the process. Before working with us, the company relied on a fragmented and unreliable system. Their order-taking, contracting, and invoicing processes lacked automation, leading to delays, errors, and a poor experience for both their team and clients. Then we optimized it. We designed a fully integrated workflow that begins with a Typeform order form, which feeds directly into Monday and Airtable to manage requests, generate contracts, and track invoices with a Softr interface for easy access to order updates and relevant documents. Then we implemented. The new system helped the sales team save approximately 5-7 hours per week by streamlining client intake and ensuring name cohesion across tools. It also reduced the time it took to send invoices and contracts by about 30%. Finally, we optimized again after implementation. Key features include automated contract and invoice generation, real-time order tracking, and a client-facing portal built with Softr. All of which improved efficiency, accuracy, and the overall client experience. The result? A centralized, user-friendly experience that eliminated manual steps and improved operational efficiency. The takeaway: Don't just automate. Optimize first, then implement, then optimize again based on real usage. Follow me Luke Pierce for more automation case studies like this.

OMS is changing fast. For years, Order Management Systems have been rule-based and structured. You set sourcing rules, define SLAs, and hope the system follows instructions. But commerce doesn’t work like that anymore. Too many variables. Too much unpredictability. And yet, most don’t know how to introduce AI to their back office to reduce the manual processes in their day to day. To do this, you have to rethink how orders should me managed. Here’s how AI can start to change the game: Predictive Forecasting OMS: Merchandisers manually analyze order data to predict inventory needs. OMS + AI: Recommends purchase decisions and inventory adjustments based on multiple factors—sales velocity, regional demand, and even on-site product views. Proactive SLA Risk Management OMS: Flags SLA breaches after they happen. OMS + AI: Predicts risks and suggest reprioritized picking, fulfillment, and carrier selection to avoid failures in the first place. Proactive Customer Service Traditional OMS: Customer service teams manually screen orders for edits, changes, and returns. OMS + AI: Translate order relevant tickets into requests and integrate directly with the OMS to instantly action customer requests—based on terms and conditions—so service teams can focus on complex cases. But let’s be real—AI isn’t ready for everything yet. ❌ Making on-the-fly order redirects ❌ Fully automated inventory reordering ❌ Deciding when to optimize pricing based on SKU order frequency …But it will be someday. The question is—OMS evaluations are increasing but are teams planning for how they implement this stuff? I think no, but at Orium our job is to help you look around the corner and validate what can and can’t be done.

How we shrank 30-40 hours of weekly manual work into just 2-3 hours 🤯 (Automation Tip Tuesday 👇) This home services company was struggling with their invoice reconciliation process. They received numerous vendor invoices via email (PDF format) and needed to manually match them against jobs in ServiceTitan. Their team was stretched thin, discrepancies and overpaying were daily occurrences, and one day, they had enough. We worked on a three-step automated solution: Step 1: Finding the PDFs Zapier monitors the inbox for invoices. When it detects an invoice with a PDF attachment, it proceeds to Step 2. Step 2: Parsing the Data Nanonets uses AI to extract data from the PDF. Step 3: Data Comparison The extracted data is compared with jobs in ServiceTitan. Any discrepancies are added to a spreadsheet for internal review. 30-40 hours of weekly manual verification time is now just 2-3 hours. With instant discrepancy flagging, their system allows for better vendor management, improved billing accuracy, and more time for the team to pursue higher-value tasks. Which manual task that can be automated is currently taking up too much valuable time? If you’re thinking of one, it’s time we spoke. 🚀 Excited to share some insights from recent customer executive meetings where we've been diving deep into the transformative power of UiPath's platform capabilities! 🌟 I've had the privilege to engage with multiple customers the last couple weeks in multiple industries, exploring automation, operating model best practices, and high-value solutions that drive significant impact. Here are a few highlights: #CommunicationsMining: For one customer, we demonstrated how our communications mining capabilities can efficiently categorize emails in large shared inboxes. For one inbox we looked at, this would reduce the categorization workload by the equivalent of multiple FTEs, paving the way for more straight-through processing and automation - which will unlock even more value! #ApplicationTesting: Showcased how UiPath can streamline application testing across internal systems, external systems, and websites. This includes the automated generation of test cases, which enhances accuracy and saves valuable time. Customers also realized they could reuse components from their automations for application testing, maximizing efficiency and resource utilization. #OrderToCash Automation: Walked through the entire order to cash process, demonstrating how UiPath's suite of capabilities can automate a majority of these activities. This not only drives efficiency and reduces manual effort but also improves accuracy, speeds up order processing times, enhances cash flow management, and provides better visibility into the entire process. Additionally, in some cases, our talented #SalesEngineering team has conducted proof of concepts with these customers to showcase that our platform is not only capable but also seamlessly integrates within their unique environments. I'm also noticing a theme among customers: before they start rapidly automating processes, they realize the need to establish solid elements of their operating model. This includes: - Identifying how business leaders will define and measure #value to set goals. If you don't know what business leaders need to measurably achieve, how do you know if you're automating the right processes? - Ensuring there is a plan for what to do with the savings afterward. I always refer to this as a "Value Realization Plan" and it is fundamental to success of an automation program. These discussions underscore the immense potential of automation in transforming business processes and delivering measurable value. I look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring more innovative solutions with our customers. 💡✨ Eric Bouchard Jennifer McDonald Mark Diaz Anthony Amalfitano Sharad Gupta Cory Chambers Joshua Overland James D.
