English Communication Coaching for Leaders & Entrepreneurs | Speak clearly, calmly and confidently in English | 25+ years’ experience

You think language coaches just teach grammar. You think they hand out worksheets and correct pronunciation. You think they're there to build your vocabulary list and send you on your way. Wrong. I've been a language coach for 25+ years. I've worked with hundreds of German-speaking experts who needed English for their business. And here's what I've learnt: Nobody comes to me just wanting better grammar. They come because they're stuck. They know their stuff. They're experts in their field. But when it's time to speak English in a meeting, on a call or at a conference, they freeze. That's not a language problem. That's a confidence problem. Here's what actually happens in my sessions: 1. We start talking about their business (not textbook exercises). 2. They realise they CAN communicate their expertise. 3. Their confidence grows with every conversation. 4. They finally feel like themselves in English. 5. They stop overthinking every word. 6 They book that international client. 7. They start speaking with clarity. 8. They nail that presentation. The vocabulary? It comes naturally when you're focused on your message, not your mistakes. The fluency? It shows up when you stop translating in your head. The results? They happen when confidence replaces fear. I don't use boring textbooks. I use real business scenarios. Your business scenarios. Because here's the truth: You already know enough English to succeed. You just don't believe it at the moment. My job isn't to cram more words into your head. My job is to pull out what's already there and give you the confidence to use it. That's what language coaches actually do. We build bridges between what you know and what you can express. We create safe spaces to practise. We celebrate progress over perfection. And yes, we build confidence. Because without it, all the vocabulary lists in the world won't help you close that deal or land that speaking gig. So no, I'm not just a language coach. I'm a confidence builder who happens to use English as the tool. Big difference. Do you agree?

  • You need a system to learn a language. This is how I studied 9 languages → and how I help my clients learn faster than ever before. Learning a language isn’t JUST about motivation. It’s about having a solid system to track your consistency + direction. Next time you want to reach a language goal, use my blueprint: 1️⃣ Define your 2-3 goals Preferably in a SMART way. Assess where you are and where you want to be. Not “I want to speak fluently.” Instead → “I want to lead a client call confidently in English by September.” 2️⃣ Break your goals into smaller milestones What do you need to learn? → Develop clear, professional tone → Handle questions and objections smoothly → Master key phrases to open, transition and close a call Estimate how long each will take. Then map them to a calendar in order of difficulty. 3️⃣ Translate each milestone into regular actions These are the tasks that move the needle. → Review key phrases for 5 mins/day → Shadowing exercises 3x per week → Coaching sessions 2x per week 4️⃣ Set up checkpoints (for tasks, not for results!). How often will you check that you are taking those actions?  Aim for weekly at the beginning. Great opportunities to check:  → Relevance of activities → Level of difficulty → Workload Remember: you can control the quantity and quality of your learning inputs, you cannot control how your brain will react and how fast it will learn. Start by tracking ACTIONS first. 5️⃣ Monitor progress and adapt With a coach, a teacher or by yourself. I’d start monthly or bi-weekly. → What’s working? → What needs adjusting? → What can you do now better than 2-4 weeks ago? Taking a longer timeframe will make progress more obvious. Motivation comes and goes. But when you have a system made of clear goals, measurable milestones and specific actions → you create momentum → you make success inevitable. Language learning isn’t about doing more. It’s about knowing exactly what to do next - and taking lots of tiny, compounding actions that will inevitably lead you to your goals. 🎯 What system do you use to plan and keep track of your learning? 🤔 ***** I am Dr. Esther Gutierrez Eugenio, PhD in Language Education. 👆 Follow and hit the 🔔 for daily insights on language learning, international communication, and the role of English in global business.

Unlocking Linguistic Depths 🤿 How the ICEBERG Model Revolutionized Language Coaching in Finance 🧊 Ever wondered how an iceberg can transform your approach to mastering English in the finance world? Dive into my journey with the ICEBERG Model!" As a neuro-language coach specializing in the finance sector, I've always sought innovative methods to enhance the linguistic skills of professionals for whom English is not their first language. Today, I'm excited to share a transformative experience using the ICEBERG Model - a method that delves far beneath the surface of traditional language learning. Picture this: a dedicated finance professional, let's call her Noha, who despite her extensive expertise, felt hindered by her command of English. Noha's struggle wasn't just about vocabulary or grammar; it was about confidence, cultural nuances, and the ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a language not her own. ❄ Enter the ICEBERG Model. Much like an iceberg, where the bulk of its mass lies hidden underwater, this model recognizes that language learning extends far beyond visible elements like vocabulary and grammar. It includes submerged aspects: cultural understanding, emotional intelligence, thought patterns, and the psychological barriers to language acquisition. Our journey began with the tip of the iceberg - enhancing Noha's financial vocabulary and her understanding of English grammar. But soon, we ventured into deeper waters. We explored cultural nuances in business communication, practiced emotional intelligence in language use, and addressed Noha's fears and preconceptions about speaking English. The transformation was remarkable. Noha began to speak more confidently in meetings, her presentations became more persuasive, and she started contributing innovative ideas to discussions. She wasn't just learning English; she was adapting her entire cognitive and emotional approach to the language. The ICEBERG Model is not just a teaching tool; it's a holistic approach that aligns language learning with the learner's personal, professional, and cultural identity. For finance professionals navigating the global market, it's not enough to know the language; they must also understand the cultural currents and psychological depths that influence communication. The ICEBERG Model is more than a method; it's a journey to linguistic and cultural proficiency. It's about uncovering the unseen, and diving deep into the aspects of language that truly matter in the professional world. And as for Noha? She's now not just a finance expert, but a confident, culturally adept English communicator, ready to make her mark in the global financial arena.

  • Your language is the most powerful tool you own. But most high-achievers use it to shrink their presence. No, you don't need to be louder. But you do need to be clearer. These 4 language traps keep you stuck as a "high-performer" instead of being seen as "leadership material:" ❌ The Disqualifier Trap "Just a thought..." or "I might be wrong but..." ✅ Replace with: "Here's my perspective..." ❌ The Apology Habit "Sorry to interrupt..." ✅ Replace with: "I'd like to add to that..." ❌ The Over-Explainer Spiral Giving too much context, losing your main point. ✅ Replace: Make one point. Give one reason. Stop. ❌ The Question Mask Ending statements with an upward inflection? ✅ Replace: End your sentence like you mean it. Period. 📌 Your 3-step action plan for this week: AUDIT: In your next meeting, observe one of these traps. SWAP: Practice one "clarity fix" 3 times today. ANCHOR: Before you speak, feel your feet on the floor. A grounded body projects a grounded mind. This is the core of executive presence. And it's not about changing your personality. It's about ensuring your external communication matches your internal expertise. Your voice is ready. It's time your language caught up. ------ ➡️ Save this for your next big meeting. ♻️ Like, follow, and repost if this resonates. 🙋🏻♀️ Follow me, Nadira Artyk, and sign up for my weekly newsletter.

In international leadership, your accent is often misunderstood as a barrier. But after coaching executives across Africa, Europe, the US, and the Middle East, here is what I know for certain: an accent has never stopped a leader from rising, insecurity has. We live in a global workplace. Multicultural. Multi-lingual. Multi-accented. And yet, too many brilliant professionals silence their potential because they fear how they sound. I’ve seen leaders avoid speaking up in meetings… professionals hesitate during presentations… and entrepreneurs postpone launching their ideas. Not because of competence but because of accent anxiety. Let me be clear: People judge competence by clarity, not accent. People follow confidence, not pronunciation. People respect insight, not imitation. Strengthen your communication. But never shrink your identity.   Here's my 𝙋.𝙍.𝙄.𝘿.𝙀. 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡™ you can use as a professional toolkit: 𝙋 – 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙚. 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨. 𝙍 – 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚. 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨. 𝙄 – 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙮. 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙩𝙝. 𝙀𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮. 𝘿 – 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩. 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚-𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮. 𝙀 – 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜. The most effective global leaders do not sound the same, but they stand in who they are. Your accent is not an obstacle to leadership, it is a gateway to authenticity.
