Summer 2026 internship recruiting is already moving FAST. don’t let it catch you off guard. I remember the stress of last season. so many roles, so much noise, and advice that rarely works in real life. So here are the exact strategies and tools I used to survive (and thrive) during recruiting: 1. Apply ASAP like, within HOURS of postings. I set up calendar reminders for application drops. Why? Because roles at top companies fill up fast and early birds really do get the interview. - intern-list from Jobright.ai: This is my favorite all-in-one board for finding open roles, sortable by role. intern-list.com - Internships Repo from Simplify : Updated daily by students. Refresh this religiously for the latest drops: https://lnkd.in/guntbVEt 2. Automate the busywork let tech do the heavy lifting. Simplify automatically fills out internship applications to save hours and cut down on mistakes. Seriously, I wouldn’t apply without it. simplify.jobs 3. Method to find the freshest postings. Go to LinkedIn, search for your desired role, filter by "Date Posted." Now, in the URL, change 86400 (last 24 hours) to 7200 (last 2 hours). This shows only just-posted jobs. Sounds small, but I landed interviews this way that most people missed entirely. 4. Don't ignore the behavioral Exponent & Interview Prepper Exponent: Role-specific question banks for behavioral and technical interviews, especially for PM/SWE. Insanely useful for real interview prep. https://lnkd.in/gnzGVf2V Interview Prepper: An all-in-one platform for personalized interview plans, company guides, daily prep games, and a new AI coding evaluator. I made this so people wouldn’t have to piece together 50 different resources. now everything’s in one spot. www.interviewprepper.co 5. Track everything don’t let any opportunity slip. After every application, I recorded: company, date, position, what I sent, and when to follow up. Tracking helped me follow up at the right times and see what actually worked for me. 💡REMEMBER: Recruiting is tough and rejection is normal, but you only need one yes. If you have questions or need help starting out, drop a comment or DM me. I’ll respond to every single one. You’ve got this. Don’t let the early crowd run laps around you. lock in, prep smart, and shoot your shot.

Instead of just commenting “I’m interested” on a LinkedIn post, job seekers should treat that post as a starting point to take direct, visible, and proactive steps — because a comment alone rarely gets you into the hiring pipeline. 💡 Here’s what to do instead: 🤝 Apply Through the Correct Channel Follow the application instructions in the post — usually that means clicking a link to the company’s careers page or LinkedIn “Easy Apply.” If there’s no clear link, search the company’s jobs page and apply to the role directly. This ensures your application is in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and can be tracked, rather than lost in comment threads. 📩 Send a Direct Message (DM) or Email Politely reach out to the poster or recruiter with: A short introduction (who you are, your background in 1–2 sentences) Why you’re interested in that specific role Confirmation that you’ve already applied Example: “Hi [Name], I saw your post about the [Role Title] position. I have 5 years in [Relevant Field] and recently applied through your careers site. I’d love to contribute to [Company’s Goal/Project] and would appreciate any advice on moving forward in the process.” ✨ Make Your Profile Job-Ready Before You Engage Ensure your headline clearly states your profession and target role. Add measurable achievements in your experience section. Use a professional profile photo and background image. 💭 Engage Thoughtfully in the Comments If you want to comment, add value instead of just “I’m interested.” Examples: “I’ve just applied and am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills in [X] to [Company].” “Looks like a fantastic role! I’ve worked in [Related Industry] for 4 years and just applied — looking forward to connecting.” 🏃♀️ Follow Up After Applying Wait a few days after applying, then check in with the recruiter or hiring manager. Keep it polite and brief — respect their time while staying on their radar. 💡 Pro Tip: Commenting “I’m interested” is like standing at the back of a networking event and waving. Applying, messaging, and showcasing your value is like walking up, shaking hands, and having a real conversation.

Hitting “Easy Apply” on 50 LinkedIn jobs will land you a callback… If you still believe this in 2025, you’re basically ghosting your own career. Every week, I hear frustrated voices: “No one is calling back. I’ve applied everywhere!” The fastest way to invisibility on LinkedIn? Relying on Easy Apply as your “job search strategy.” Here’s what 90% of the job seekers do: ✖️ Spend hours firing off the same resume to every job that pops up. ✖️ Assume quantity = opportunities. ✖️ Hope recruiters will magically “find” them in a pool of 400+ applicants per role. Here’s what actually gets results in 2025 and what my most successful students do differently: 1️⃣ Zero In, Don’t Scattershot Research your dream companies (HCL, KPMG, Capgemini…) and target roles that match your strengths. One of my student applied to just 8 tailored roles and landed 3 interviews after months of silence using “Easy Apply.” 2️⃣ Personalize, Personalize, Personalize No more generic resumes. Adapt your CV and cover letter to the exact role, highlight experiences similar to what that company values. 3️⃣ Network with Intention The true job market is built on relationships, not robotic clicks. Send a thoughtful message to a current employee (not HR) asking about their experience, insights on the team, or referencing a recent project the company posted about. Example: “Hi Priya, I noticed HDFC is expanding into digital lending. I’ve worked on a fintech project at my campus, would love to hear how your team approaches new tech at scale!” 4️⃣ Show Up Beyond the Application Engage with the company’s LinkedIn posts, share relevant content on your feed, and comment insightfully. Recruiters at top companies notice candidates who contribute ideas and solutions publicly. 5️⃣ Follow Up But Make It Count After every application, send a thoughtful note to the recruiter when you spot their name in the job post. Example: “Hi [Name], I’ve just applied for the Business Analyst role at Barclays. I’m excited by your team’s work on data-driven strategy. Happy to share more about my recent process optimization at university, which saved 80+ man-hours in a term. Looking forward to connecting!” Only 2% of online job applications ever reach an interview. But when you combine focus, personalization, and real human connection, you can flip those odds in your favor. #jobsearch #careergrowth #interview #interviewpreparation #dreamjob

Dear May 2025 Grads especially international students, Graduated now.. Excited? Nervous? Wondering how to land a job in the U.S. as visa deadlines loom? Yeah, we’ve all been there. Let’s talk real job search strategy. Here are some out-of-the-box networking + time management tips that worked for me and many others because the "just apply online" route? It’s not enough anymore. Networking tip #1: Become a connector, not a collector Don’t just collect LinkedIn connections. Engage. After every virtual or in-person event, send a thoughtful message: “Hey [Name], I loved your take on [topic]. Would love to stay in touch and learn from your journey.” Then follow their content, leave a meaningful comment weekly. Not just "Great post"—say why it resonated. Real Example? I did this with a speaker from a conference. A week later, they referred me to a role I didn’t know existed. Networking tip #2: DM like a human Cold messaging can work if it’s warm in tone. No one likes “Hi, can you refer me?”. Try this: “Hi [Name], I’m a May 2025 grad, exploring roles in [your field]. Your path at [Company] is inspiring! What advice would you give someone starting out?” You’re not asking for a job— You’re building trust. Jobs often follow. Networking tip #3: Start your own thing No industry events? Create one. Host a 20-minute Zoom chat with peers and invite 1 professional. Call it “Something Creative.” Record it, post snippets on LinkedIn. Now you’re no longer chasing people— They come to you. Time Tip #1: Pick 3 buckets daily Job search feels endless—so make it finite. Every day, pick only 3 things: 10 application 10 follow-up 1-2 learning or networking action Then rest. Your brain needs consistent progress, not burnout. Time Tip #2: Theme your week Mon: Research companies Tue: Tailor resume + apply Wed: Networking messages Thu: Interview prep Fri: Personal branding Sat: Review progress Sun: Rest or reflect Theme = clarity. Clarity = momentum. Bonus Tip: Show your work in public Share your job search journey online. Post about projects, learnings, even rejections. One classmate posted his weekly job goals + learnings. He got a DM from a hiring manager who was watching silently. You never know who’s watching. International students—this road is hard, but it’s not impossible. You just need to play it smart, support each other, and show up consistently. If you’re on this journey, You’ve got this. #May2025Grads #InternationalStudents #JobSearchTips #Networking #TimeManagement #F1VisaJobs #OPT #CPT #CareerGrowth #LevelUp

Here's some insider information on the recruiting process for interns and new grads. Recruiting teams begin preparing a year in advance, which means we're already searching for Summer 2026 candidates. Just like you started planning for university applications early, it's crucial to start your internship or new grad role search at least a year ahead to maximize your chances. My team is noticing many LinkedIn profiles missing key information. Due to the high volume, there's often not enough time to reach out for clarifications, making it essential to keep your profiles updated. Here are some key items to ensure you are not missing out on opportunities: 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭-𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬: ➡️ Graduation Date: Ensure your LinkedIn profile includes your graduation date. This detail is vital for recruiters to understand your timeline and availability for a role. ➡️ Location Type: Specify whether you're looking for an onsite, remote, or hybrid role. For early career roles, I recommend being open to onsite opportunities for the best learning experience. ➡️ Location: Update the areas or cities you're open to moving to. I suggest researching factors like cost of living, rent prices, and transportation. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: ⭐ Profile Summary: Write a concise overview of your education, experience, projects, passions, and career goals. Keep it short and personal. ⭐ Experience: Add your internships and any personal projects you've completed. ⭐ Leadership: Include student groups, volunteer work, or anything that showcases your involvement beyond the classroom. 𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝐓𝐢𝐩: 💡 Set Up Notifications: Activate LinkedIn notifications on your phone to respond quickly to recruiter messages. #EarlyCareers #NewGrads #CollegeRecruiting #UniversityRecruiting #EarlyTalent #Summer2026 #TechRecruiting #EarlyCareerAdvice #NewGradTips #NewGradAdvice

It’s official: We’re in the summer slump. We are in peak summer mode, which means the hiring process gets a lot slower. People are out of the office and it’s difficult to bring everyone together to make a decision. Simply put, hiring slows down during the summer. And then it picks right back up in September. (Historically, September and January kick off robust hiring seasons.) Does this mean you can’t get a job during the summer? No, you still can. I’ve helped clients do it. And I have several clients going on interviews now. 🤞 But does this also mean there will be fewer job listings and longer wait times? Yes, definitely. I’m not saying this to discourage you, I just want you to know what’s happening in the market. So I’m going to give you the same advice I give my clients during the summer: THIS IS THE TIME TO BUILD YOUR NETWORK. People are in great moods, they’re less stressed, and it’s easier to send and receive messages. Take this time to reconnect with old colleagues, classmates, neighbors, and community leaders. Go through your contact list on LinkedIn and in your phone (and you can sync your phone contacts with LinkedIn) - who haven’t you talked to in a while? What names are jumping out to you? I always say, “Build your network when you don’t need it so it’s there for you when you do need it.” So take this time during the summer slump just to reconnect. Send messages like ... “Hi [Name], Last time we spoke you were doing this, how is it going? All is well over here, the kids are at camp this summer and I’m still plugging away at my job search. One thing I’ve learned during this time: our network is powerful. And I always valued our connection. So I’m just writing to reconnect and if I can use my network to help you in any way, please let me know.” And if you’re #OpentoWork, I suggest you use my Open to Work Info Sheet during the conversation. I have a template of networking messages in my resource sheet, link in comments. Rekindle old connections because the best way to get a job in today's market is through your network. But you don't just want to write out of the blue and say, "I'm looking for a job, can you help?" 🙅♀️ Kick off the conversation first by saying hello and offering help. Aim to send 10 messages per day. BUT DON'T START THIS WEEK. As I wrote yesterday, many people are out of the office this week and your message will get lost in the pile. Instead, take this week to review your contacts and draft messages. Then schedule them to send starting July 9, 10, and 11. (Don't send them on Monday, people will be busy catching up on work.) I'm rooting for you. 👊 ***** Hi, have we met? I'm Emily, and I'm on a mission to get the #greenbannergang back to work, one actionable step at a time. #networking #jobseekers #jobhunt #jobsearch

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝𝐈𝐧. As an agency recruiter, I’ve helped hundreds of candidates land roles not just because of their resume, but because they knew how to use LinkedIn to be seen. It’s not about applying faster. It’s about showing up smarter. Here’s what I tell every candidate I work with: 1. LinkedIn isn’t just a job board. It’s a radar. Want to work in healthcare tech? Behavioral health? Fintech? Start following companies in that space not just the big names, but the growing ones too. You’ll start seeing jobs before they hit Indeed. 2. Job posts are just the beginning people hire people. Before you hit “apply,” look up the hiring manager or someone on the team. A quick, kind, professional message can make you stand out. You don’t need to ask for a job. You’re building a bridge. 3. Let recruiters find you. Yes, really. Set your profile to “Open to Work” privately, if you prefer. Use keywords that match the job you want, not just the one you have. I can’t count how many amazing people I’ve found who weren’t applying, but were searchable. 4. Show up on your feed. Like a post about the industry you want to join. Share a short comment. Post something thoughtful about a challenge you’ve solved. It doesn’t have to go viral it just has to show who you are. Because here’s the truth: LinkedIn is less about luck than it is about visibility. If you're job searching right now especially in a tough market don't wait for perfect timing or permission. Make yourself findable. Reach out. Follow up. And don’t underestimate the power of a well-timed message. I'm cheering you on and if I can help, reach out. What’s one thing that helped you stand out on LinkedIn? Let’s crowdsource some wisdom for everyone in the hunt. #JobSearch #RecruiterTips #HealthcareTech #BehavioralHealthJobs #LinkedInTips #CareerGrowth #AgencyRecruiter #OpenToWork

Job search in 2025 isn’t about applying more. It’s about applying smarter. Most job seekers spend 90% of their time on the application… and almost no time on the approach. Here’s what actually works and how to do it step-by-step: 1️⃣ Find companies hiring… even if the role isn’t posted How to do it: 1. Go to LinkedIn → Search roles you want → Filter by “Past 30 days” → Note which companies are hiring frequently. 2. Search “hiring + your role” in the LinkedIn search bar → Sort by Posts → Find teams hiring unofficially. 3. Check the company’s Careers page weekly — many roles never reach LinkedIn. This helps you catch opportunities before they become competitive. 2️⃣ Reach out to people who recently joined the company How to do it: 1. Search: `Company → People → Joined within last 1 year`. Message them: “Hi, I saw you recently joined <Company>. How was your experience? Any tips for someone exploring roles there?” 2. Don’t ask for a referral first. Build context. Ask for insights. People who’ve just cleared the bar know exactly what matters. 3️⃣ Tailor your resume to the job, not your entire life story How to do it: 1. Copy the job description into a doc. 2. Highlight the skills, tools, and verbs they repeat (e.g., “optimize, automate, scale”). 3. Match your bullet points to those themes. 4. Remove anything not relevant to that specific role. A focused resume wins over a long resume. 4️⃣ Show proof of work How to do it: 1. Analysts → Share dashboards, SQL queries, case studies. 2. Product/Program → Share PRDs, Roadmaps, “Before→After” impact. 3. Tech → GitHub, small builds, open-source contributions. 4. Marketing → Campaign deck, portfolio, results screenshot. Hiring managers love evidence, not promises. 5️⃣ Treat job search as a pipeline, not chaos How to do it: 1. Track companies, contacts, resume versions, follow-ups in a simple sheet. 2. Set a weekly target: ✔ 10 quality reach-outs ✔ 2 resume tweaks ✔ 1 mock interview 3. Follow up after 5–7 days — most candidates never do. Consistency beats luck. Job search is no longer a numbers game. It’s a strategy game. If you’re job hunting right now, you’re not behind. You just need the right direction. Tell me which step you want me to break down even further, I’ll create a post for it. #jobsearch #careeradvice #careertips #resume #linkedin

Most job seekers get LinkedIn wrong. They treat it like an online résumé… when the real magic is in networking. If you’re only updating your profile but not building relationships, you’re leaving opportunities on the table. Here’s a 6-part checklist to turn LinkedIn into your networking superpower: 1. Optimize Before You Connect – Make sure your profile clearly communicates who you are, what you do, and what kind of opportunities you’re seeking. First impressions matter. 2. Build with Intention – Connect strategically with alumni, recruiters, peers, and industry leaders. Always personalize your connection requests with a note explaining why you want to connect. 3. Engage Consistently – Don’t just like posts. Comment thoughtfully, share insights, and add value to conversations. Engagement keeps you visible and top-of-mind. 4. Start Conversations – After someone accepts your connection, send a short thank-you note. Ask questions to learn from their experience, or invite them to a brief chat or virtual coffee. 5. Nurture Relationships – Networking doesn’t stop after one message. Celebrate milestones, check in periodically, share resources, and offer help without expecting anything in return. 6. Leverage for Job Search – When the time is right, reach out to employees at companies you’re targeting for informational chats. Warm introductions often open doors far faster than cold applications. Networking on LinkedIn isn’t about collecting contacts ~ it’s about building trust BEFORE you need it. Question for you: What’s one LinkedIn networking habit that’s worked really well for you?
