They buy trust in the people and the organization behind it.” One of the most unique panels at SOF Week in Tampa focused on a topic that usually sits outside the tactical conversation: personal and corporate identity. While much of the event centered around technology, operational performance, and measurable outcomes, our panel discussed how identity, brand, and messaging shape success. Katherine Torres-Pummill spoke about culture and authenticity being at the heart of success and how they shape trust and identity. David Larson emphasized the non-negotiables of clarity and trust in building a successful story and brand. Arthur Colby passionately shared his journey of leaving the military and learning to embrace vulnerability through mentorship. That experience helped him discover authenticity and build his personal brand. Have you made it to The Outpost at SOF Week yet? One of the newest additions to SOF Week, The Outpost brings the mission to life with live demonstrations, static aircraft displays, and mission-focused technology at Peter O. Knight Airfield. Getting there is easy — board the Pirate Water Taxi from the Tampa Convention Center dock and follow the onsite signage to the SOF Week water taxi pickup location. Today, following the Capabilities Demonstration, stay for a live performance by the Deacon Blues Band from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM. The bar will also be open during the concert, making it a great place to connect with others across the SOF Week community in a relaxed outdoor setting.
