✨ Don't miss this review from Lydia Eirini Papagora and Stephen Cochrane out now in #RSCChemBio on SOX-labelled peptides for probing kinase and phosphatase activity in real-time assays! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e-K4vvN7
Lydia Eirini Papagora's review on SOX-labelled peptides for direct kinase and phosphatase monitoring has now been published in RSC Chemical Biology #RSCChemBio 😃 We hope this will act as a concise resource for those interested in the technology, which covers fundamentals, synthesis, probe design, applications and pros/cons compared to other assay formats. I've been fascinated by CHEF-based enzyme detection ever since seeing Eric Anslyn discuss it at Queen's University Belfast pre-Covid. We have a project on SOX-based sensors that is unpublished but I hope to be able to share this year! https://lnkd.in/eMH5HTfv

Submissions to our upcoming themed collection on Epigenetics and epitranscriptomics are now open! This collection is guest edited by Prof. Arasu Ganesan (Liverpool John Moores University, UK), Prof. Masayuki Sakurai (Tokyo University of Science, Japan), and Prof. Stefanie Kaiser (Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany). Epigenetic and epitranscriptomic modifications have important roles in normal biological function and disease states, and their investigation and control has significance for understanding cell processes and the design of therapeutics. This themed collection aims to draw together research investigating, and manipulating these, including but not limited to small molecule and enzymatic tools, mapping techniques, probes, and editing methods. The submission deadline is 30 September 2026. Find out more on our blog post: : https://lnkd.in/gxgbvQxM
