We’re excited to be partnering with Invenergy UK, an innovative clean energy company, to create impactful STEM experiences that inspire young people from all backgrounds to explore engineering and develop future-ready skills. This collaboration will deliver a series of School STEM Days, alongside an Engineering Experience residential course, available to book now. These programmes will provide hands-on, engaging learning opportunities that help young people build confidence, develop practical skills and gain a deeper understanding of engineering and energy. Invenergy’s commitment to Scottish communities, education and skills development closely aligns with our mission to broaden participation in engineering and strengthen future talent pipelines. The programmes will also provide opportunities for Invenergy employees to get involved, meeting and mentoring the inspiring young people who take part. We look forward to working with partners and funders who share our ambition to invest in young people, support regional skills development and help shape the future engineering workforce.

  • We’re pleased to share that we’ve submitted our Mid Hill Wind Farm's application for development consent to the Energy Consents Unit. Located southwest of Hawick – the largest town in the Scottish Borders – our proposed project is made up of 13 turbines, which could deliver over 93 MW. It is the product of years of detailed environmental assessments, technical design work and community engagement. If successful, it will mark a major milestone for our work as we continue to deliver cleaner, more reliable and affordable home-grown energy to Scotland. We want to thank our partners and stakeholders for helping us get the development to this stage. We remain committed to engaging with you and local communities as we look to bring this wind farm to fruition.

  • We’re looking to deliver even more clean energy for Scotland and extra funding for local communities! We have secured East Ayrshire Council’s backing for the proposed extension to our Pencloe Wind Farm, which would: 🟢 See its capacity grow to over 100 MW – enough to power around 128,000 Scottish homes. 🟢 Add five new turbines, generating 22.5 MW alongside the 81 MW project already under construction. 🟢 Provide £4 million to nearby communities, on top of the £14 million we’ve already pledged, managed by The 9CC Group. “Additional turbines at our existing Pencloe Wind Farm will help deliver cleaner, more reliable, affordable energy for households across Scotland and the UK.” - Stuart Winter, Vice President and UK Country Manager at Invenergy. The extension proposal is now with Scottish Ministers for final approval. Learn more:  https://lnkd.in/ekJu_nSD

  • The final turbine at our Pencloe Wind Farm has now been successfully installed.   This marks a major step towards bringing new, homegrown renewable energy online in East Ayrshire.   Once operational, Pencloe’s 18 turbines will generate enough clean electricity to power tens of thousands of homes across Scotland each year, it will deliver over £400,000 per annum in community benefits and has resulted in 10’s of millions being invested in the Scottish economy through the projects construction spend.   This achievement reflects the hard work and collaboration of everyone involved – from our construction contractors and local partners, to the Invenergy team driving delivery on the ground.
