Our new agreement with NextEra Energy, Inc. will bring Iowa’s only nuclear plant back to life. Earlier this week, we announced the restart of the Duane Arnold Energy Center through a landmark agreement with Next Era Energy. We expect the plant to be back online in 2029, and provide more than 600 MW of clean, safe, ‘always on’ nuclear energy to the regional grid that supports our growing infrastructure in Iowa.
