  • When first diagnosed with HIV, it can feel like you’re managing it all on your own. For Javier, learning of his positive status was met with a mix of emotions and questions, but once he took the first step in speaking up about his diagnosis, it opened his eyes to the world of support he had behind him. Check out Javier's Story: ChooseUHIV.com #ChooseU  Intended for U.S. audiences only.

  • What a weekend at #SXSW in Austin. We brought together voices from music, media and medicine for a conversation about #HIV prevention, #PrEP and the importance of normalizing talking about sexual health. Joining the discussion were Grammy Award-winning artist Ciara, Gilead’s Jenny Yun, HIV specialist Leo Moore, MD, MSHPM, AAHIVE, DipIBLM and media personality Loren LoRosa.  When we create space for open, honest dialogue, we can help expand awareness and make HIV prevention more visible and easier to talk about.     Photos by Daniel Boczarski/Getty Images for Gilead Sciences

  • Progress in #HIV takes years of persistence, learning from experience, and a commitment to evolving approaches.  We work to continuously improve the tools and treatments available to people impacted by HIV. With a sustained focus on increasing options for prevention, we’re building a foundation that could help end the HIV epidemic.

  • For Nicoletta, living with #HIV means acceptance. By sticking to her treatment plan and working in HIV advocacy, she is able to help others accept their HIV journey and empower her own. Nicoletta believes that no one should face HIV alone. She helps others find strength, confidence and a sense of belonging through peer support and honest conversation. Check out Nicoletta’s story: ChooseUHIV.com #ChooseU Intended for U.S. audiences only.

  • Meet Kim, a dandelion – someone diagnosed with #HIV at an early age – who embodies resilience, self-acceptance and open conversation. Kim reminds us that treatment is more than doctor visits; it’s having confidence to choose your path. This National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, we celebrate Kim and countless women choosing their own futures through HIV care. #NWGHAAD

  • This February was a month focused on community, equity and scientific progress at Gilead. During Black History Month, we recognized the leadership and impact of Black communities and shared stories that highlight the importance of expanding access to person-centered #HIV care. #CROI2026 reiterated these themes across conversations about cure research, treatment options and more. Bringing together scientific innovation and equitable access is how we can make progress in the fight to help end the epidemic.

  • Every day, approximately 100 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with #HIV. Ending the HIV epidemic is an urgent goal that calls for ongoing conversation and sustained momentum. Behind every data point is a person. That’s why we are deeply committed to developing new approaches to help treat and prevent HIV, for as long as it takes.
