As the US Army accelerates technology development to counter evolving threats, retaining intellectual property ownership is becoming increasingly critical. Speaking with reporters, Army Secretary Dan Driscoll said the service plans to acquire or lease the IP required to develop a low-cost interceptor from the ground up — giving the Army long-term control over the technology while speeding delivery to the battlefield.
