  • Last week at the AAQEP Symposium, our team had the opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate with so many dedicated educator preparation leaders—and we’re still energized by the conversations. A big thank you to everyone who joined our sessions and stopped by to connect with Malik McKinley, Monica A. Beane, and Lisa Colon Durham. From hands-on data exploration to thoughtful discussions about the future of educator readiness, the level of participation and feedback was incredible. At our booth, one of the most meaningful moments came from a simple but powerful exercise: identifying which AAQEP 2025 standard represents your program’s greatest current need. The insights you shared sparked rich conversations and reinforced something we deeply believe—progress happens through partnership. We’re grateful for the openness, the ideas, and the shared commitment to strengthening educator pipelines. At ETS Praxis, we’re proud to support this work and continue learning alongside you. Looking forward to continuing the conversation. #AAQEP2026 #EducatorPreparation #TeacherPipeline #EdLeadership #AssessmentInnovation

  • It was great to spend time with colleagues at the AAQEP Annual Meeting Preconference Data Lab. Lisa Colon Durham is pictured here with our Kentucky partners from Brescia University, working side by side to explore their completers’ testing data. During this hands-on session, we partnered with attendees to dig into ETS Data Manager and uncover insights that can support: ✔ Continuous improvement efforts ✔ Accreditation readiness ✔ More meaningful faculty conversations It’s powerful to see data come to life in real time, especially when teams connect results back to program impact. This kind of hands-on support is something we’re proud to offer all of our partners. If you’re interested in bringing a session like this to your team, connect with your Director of Educational Partnerships to get started. Thank you Sagan Storm, Amanda Morris and Mac Webb Ed.S for your partnership and engagement. #EducatorPreparation #DataDriven #ProgramImprovement #AAQEP2026

  • AI is already reshaping classrooms—but teacher preparation hasn’t fully caught up. In his latest article, Vince Dean, Associate Vice President of Praxis at ETS, explores why AI readiness is quickly becoming a foundational competency for educators, not an optional skill. With most teachers already using AI tools daily—and far fewer receiving formal training—states and districts face a growing challenge: how to ensure AI is being used effectively, ethically, and responsibly in real classroom practice. The article examines: • How state and federal policy is responding to AI in education • Where gaps remain between adoption and preparation • Why objective data is essential to understanding educator AI readiness As AI becomes embedded in teaching and learning, clarity—not guesswork—will be critical. • Strong education systems start with trust—and teacher licensure plays a critical role in building it. Licensure helps ensure consistent standards, public confidence, and classroom readiness by confirming that educators have the knowledge, skills, and professional judgment today’s learners deserve. Thoughtfully designed licensure assessments don’t just measure content knowledge—they support preparation programs, inform growth, and help safeguard student learning.
