🎉D.R. Horton has achieved a significant milestone by being ranked the third-largest multifamily developer in the nation for 2026, marking our highest ranking to date!!! In 2025, we started 6,099 new rental units, which included 4,725 apartment units and 1,374 build-to-rent (BTR) units, reflecting an increase from the 4,590 units initiated in 2024. Notably, our totals in 2025 were just 273 units shy of the second-largest developer and 1,089 units behind the largest developer in the country, Greystar. When controlling for subsidized housing units, Horton emerges as the largest market rate multifamily developer in the nation. This ranking is a testament to what we have accomplished in a relatively short period. Competing at this level is no small feat, and everyone on our team should take pride in the determination and resilience demonstrated to reach this point. As we celebrate this achievement, it's essential to recognize our high performing Executive and Leadership teams, Development, Construction, Purchasing and Corporate teams across the country.
