Yesterday, a group of senior business leaders explored how organisations can respond to the complex operational, legal and regulatory challenges that arise during a major cyber incident at our Cybersecurity Risk & Resilience Hackathon in London. The session combined insights from our team with a live cyber incident simulation, giving attendees the opportunity to collaborate across sectors and work through the difficult decisions that organisations face in real time. Key themes from the day included: • Cyber incidents as business resilience events, not just technical failures • The importance of defining a “minimum viable business” during disruption • The complex legal, ethical and regulatory questions around ransomware and extortion attacks • The increasing role of regulators and litigation following major breaches Thank you to our speakers and to everyone who joined us for a day of thoughtful and engaging discussions. #Cybersecurity #RiskManagement #IncidentResponse #CyberResilience

The recent trade mark decision from the High Court (IPEC) in Dryrobe v Caesr Group (t/a D-Robe Outdoors) offers a timely reminder of the necessary balance between popularity and distinctiveness and illustrates the legal seldom-litigated concept of genericide.
