Great connecting with the Spherion franchise community at the National Meeting in Baltimore! It was energizing to hear from so many franchise owners who are making moves into tech staffing. Those conversations were exactly what we were there for. A highlight beyond the booth: Spherion's partnership with Living Classrooms Foundation had attendees assembling personal hygiene kits for at-risk youth during the event. Yes, that's why we're surrounded by deodorant. 😊 Big thanks to Lisa Killion and Buddy Robinson for holding it down at the booth.

Java vs. JavaScript. React vs. Angular. AWS vs. Azure. If you've ever had to pause and double-check, you're not alone. That's why we brought GlossaryTech into the Dice ecosystem. It's a free browser extension that gives recruiters instant clarity on tech terms as they browse. On Dice, Gmail, or any website. No tab-switching. No Googling. Just hover and know. Trusted by recruiters since 2018. Now backed by Dice, because we believe in supporting your hiring success, not just giving you access to candidates. Install free: https://lnkd.in/glossarytech

We're proud to back GlossaryTech and its mission to help recruiters navigate tech terminology with confidence. Andrew has built something the recruiting community genuinely relies on, and we're excited to invest in its future. Check it out in your Dice Recruiter Hub!
It’s official: GlossaryTech is now backed by Dice. I’m happy and grateful to announce this partnership and a new chapter for GlossaryTech. GlossaryTech started as a learning tool for the tech recruiting community. From the very beginning, it has always been free for tech recruiters. Over time, keeping it operational and up to date became more challenging, but the mission never changed. Thanks to the support and trust of Dice, we’re now able to ensure GlossaryTech continues to operate and grow. Here is the official announcement: https://lnkd.in/dZ_i2kYq Already this year, we’ve added more than 250 new technical terms, mainly focused on AI, ML, data science, and DevOps. We’ve also improved app stability and expanded coverage across more websites. We have exciting ideas ahead, and this partnership gives us the foundation to build them. GlossaryTech is built to help you understand technical jargon without ever leaving the page you’re working on. When sourcing candidates. When reviewing job descriptions. When analyzing resumes in your inbox. PS: The first photo was taken in 2017 in Austin at my first SourceCon, where I had a booth and introduced GlossaryTech to the community. Nearly a decade later, I’m proud to share this milestone with you. Thank you to everyone who has supported GlossaryTech along the way. Stay tuned!

Art Zeile, CEO of DHI Group, made this point in a recent Money.com feature, and it's one that hiring teams consistently get wrong. When a recruiter drafts a technical JD without real input from the people doing the work, candidates will catch it and move on. They're looking for signals that the hiring team actually understands what they'd be walking into. The same goes for company culture. Hiring teams tend to rush that section, and it shows. "You are still going to get applications, but you're not going to get people that are really inspired by the culture of the company," he says. If you're refining your hiring process for 2026, this piece is worth a few minutes of your time.

New research from Dice: The Defensive Job Market is here. We surveyed 1,159 U.S. tech professionals on the job market, economic outlook, and AI's role in their work. Nearly three-quarters of tech professionals plan to change employers this year. But only 41% feel confident they'll land a favorable role. In other words, they're seeking safety over opportunity. Our 2026 Tech Sentiment Report breaks down what's driving this shift and what it means for staffing firms navigating a high-intent, high-anxiety placement market. The firms that understand why candidates are moving, and what they need to hear, will win the placements others miss. Click the link in comments to read the full report!
