Wire+Arc Additive Manufacturing simulation
Results and experimental validation of a simulation of the Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) process. The simulation is handled by GeonX (Belgium) using Virfac® software, based on experimental data provided by the Joint Laboratory of Marine Technology, Ecole Centrale de Nantes and DCNS (France).

8yAny more photos of actual welding? This looks like what was called shape welding in the 1990's. Cranfield made some weld metal pipe shapes with a robot
