Using the UltraScale+ Zynq MPSoC

Using the UltraScale+ Zynq MPSoC

For over three years I have been writing about how to use the Zynq All Programmable SoC devices. This blog often called the MicroZed Chronicles after the board which started it all, has examined many aspects from the basic "hello world" to advanced concepts such as

  • High Level Synthesis, using Vivado HLx and SDSoC
  • Image Processing using OpenCV and HLS support libraries
  • Creating our own peripherals within the Programmable Logic
  • Using different Operating Systems including PetaLinux, Bare Metal, FreeRTOS and Micrium OSiii
  • Asymmetric Multi Processing
  • Examples of AES256, Signal Processing, XADC & Power Management

With over 160 blogs, this weekly series has looked at a range of boards from the MicroZed, Pynq, Avnet EVK, ZedBoard, ZynqBerry, LabView RIO and the Snickerdoodle.

With the release of the UltraZed System on Module which contains the UltraScale+ Zynq MPSoC. Going forward there will also be UltraZed Edition of the chronicles which will be providing the same level of in-depth examples of how to use the Zynq MPSoC.

You can find the first installments at UltraZedChronicles.com

This is great news! I’m looking forward to reading your future blog posts. Do you plan to publish blogs or tutorials where everything is done in Vitis Unified? Or will you be using Vitis Classic? It would be great to learn more about the new features in Vitis Unified, as well as the extension marketplace, your recommendations, your workflow, and other insights.
