My Epiphany

I slept in this morning. That is not the usual norm for me. I usually get up at 4 or 4:30am and start my day. But today, I realized something, I had an epiphany this morning and I would like to share that with you…

I realized that I had slept very comfortably last night and pretty much every night, where memory serves and that peacefulness, I believe was achieved and maintained because it was under the blanket of protection that the men and women of our military has always provided.

I would like to take this moment to express my undying and unwavering appreciation for all of the current and former members of our United States armed forces. For those who think about them on a regular basis and for those of us who do not, my belief is that we have a debt that can never be repaid to those people who have served and whom currently serve. They serve without looking for gratitude or appreciation.

They serve because they feel a duty to protect and defend a nation that they love and admire and they do so without question or hesitation. They do not want parades or medals and we, as a people, we as a nation should be eternally grateful for the sacrifice’s that they and their families have made and continue to make every single day!

So, to everyone that this message reaches, to everyone who sleeps under the same fabric of protection that I have had the privilege to be under for my entire life living in the United States of America, please join me in saying “thank you” to all of the veterans and current service members of our Armed forces, in being eternally grateful for what they have done and continue to do for all citizens and residents of the United States of America!

Thank you
