Management by Objectives

Management by Objectives

Peter Drucker offered an idea of Management by Objectives (MBO) in 1960s. It is clear that managers of our days need a clear attention on their goals and original purpose.

Peter offered a planning approach to be proactive.

His MBO process style includes:

1. Set corporate objectives

2. Set and align employee objectives

3. Monitor performance

4. Evaluate performance

5. Reward employee

6. Starting from 1st step again

However MBO may become mechanical driver to an organisation if is well-managed, it is still good too to start working with organisation optimisation. Managers need to execute and observe organisation behaviour and keep a track on setting companies goal.
