Join My Sports Data Visualization Course to Learn Tableau

My latest class offerings can always be found here.

In my Tableau Development Academy you can learn this powerful, valuable tool by creating interesting basketball & soccer charts. I have taught Tableau to hundreds of people across the last 5 years and I have enjoyed visualizing sports data with it for nearly a decade. Participants in this course can use the free version of the tool, Tableau Public, if they don't have a professional or student license for Tableau Desktop already. The majority of every session will involve participants building charts from sports stats then changing them in ways designed to explain Tableau concepts & hone their eye for data visualization.

Check out my Tableau Public portfolio to see my visualization style or listen to my appearance on Paul Carr's "Expected Value" podcast for my wider thoughts on the medium and my thinking in organizing this course.

In class you will build basketball & soccer charts such as bars, lines, scatterplots, treemaps, field heatmaps, etc. while learning how to understand & leverage Tableau in other ways, too. Ideally, you'll keep using Tableau after class ends and transform your career. I began this program in March and my earliest students are already creating some very engaging dashboards for their Tableau Public Portfolios.

Again, you can always find my latest classes here or, if you are reading this shortly after its publication, you can find and join the course beginning Monday, June 29th here.
