How to Manage a huge Community?
We all wish to contribute for a sustainable future, and we engage ourselves. Either through donations, through advise or through work in NGOs and charity organisations. Some of us, like me, have the pleasure to get paid to follow our dreams. "Make digital inclusion happen to improve the life of every single human." A huge task, given that half of the population on Earth, around 4 Billion People, are not part of the digital society.
I need your help, or better, your expertise. How can we get a community of 300.000 people to work together, share ideas, develop solutions, and contribute to a sustainable future? May I ask you to contribute with your thoughts and ideas?
We have lot's of good examples, notably Wikipedia and the Linux Foundation. As an example, Wikimedia is working with more than 80.000 editors every month, they use Phabricator for the development. Any experiences? Or can we build on solutions functioning in big organisations, like Microsoft or Google?
Are the processes we know from software development applicable? How can you run a sprint, when your contributors are volunteers?
We focus on "Free access to information - everywhere and for everyone", which has lot's of aspects, like an affordable solution for the access, the most cost-efficient way of delivery, information as public good, in a form that is accessible for everyone, where people live, work, learn and interact... We work for establishing free access to information as a human right, getting protocols and standards in place for free Basic Internet, raise public awareness and last but not least, connect as many as possible now.
Our community of engaged individuals is growing, but we lack the methodology, the tools, and the ideas on how to build the base for volunteers to collaborate.
What are your suggestions, experiences, ideas? Please share and discuss

what kind of access is also important! the International EMF Scientist Appeal, representing 248 scientists from 42 nations, have resubmitted The Appeal to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). It gives key insight into the problem we face continuing to believe that access is best done wirelessly. The International 5G Appeal delivers more food for thought on the matter.
😊👌🏻 access to internet is key, and might be one of the most important tools for development!
