How Dell and FlexJobs are coming together to support remote work.

As many of you know, I am a big fan of work flexibility and remote work.  Recently, Dell and FlexJobs teamed up to produced a video (which I make an appearance in and is posted below) to show the world the importance and benefits of flexible work. I could go on and on about the benefits, but for the sake of this post, I want to talk about the two biggest questions I hear when job seekers are trying to figure out how to get a remote job.

  1. Are there legit remote jobs out there that relate to my field?
  2. Where can I find these jobs?

With so many scams out there and too good to be true promises of being able to work from home, I understand the skepticism many job seekers have about real work from home opportunities.

Which is why I am excited to share that we (FlexJobs) have recently come together with Dell, a great flexible employer, to continue to promote work flex and provide the best flexible jobs for our users.  Our aim is to show people that yes, real remote job opportunities do exist in a wide range of fields, and yes, you can find those opportunities both at Dell and FlexJobs

Dell has long been a supporter of remote work, making our annual list of “100 Top Companies with Remote Jobs” consistently over the past five years. Dell has recognized that remote team members are four times as likely to be engaged at work and two times as likely to want to stay at their current jobs. Through its Connected Workplace Program, Dell provides remote, flextime, part-time jobs, job sharing, and compressed workweek schedules.

Some of the ways we at FlexJobs are working together with Dell to promote work flexibility include, posting Dell’s remote and flexible job positions to the FlexJobs database, sharing Dell’s insights on running a remote team on our sister site Remote.co, and working with Dell on FlexJobs’ online job hiring events and webinars.

Dell will continue to recruit flexible workers through FlexJobs’ network of job seekers, has featured FlexJobs’ Founder and CEO, Sara Sutton Fell, in its FY Corporate Social Responsibility report video.

Sara Sutton Fell has also been featured in the Dell Technologies World 2018 Conference video, and Dell has sponsored and participated in FlexJobs’ annual TRaD Works Forum.

Dell has exceeded its goal to have 50% of its workforce using work flexibility options by 2020. It currently has 58% doing so. We hope our collaboration with Dell will continue to grow this number and set an example for other companies to follow in Dell’s footsteps.
