Digital Consulting Project with ContraForce
A person can acquire the right set of technical capabilities during the course of their education and learning process. But delivering that expertise to the right set of people, efficiently, in a timely manner is the Consulting business. I realized that Consulting is not just about providing advice to businesses but collaborating with them, understanding them, working hand in hand to improve their processes, and also improve our skills. Gaining the necessary expertise in the relevant field is equally important in the business of Consulting. My decision to take up the Digital Consulting Project course under Professor Gaurav Shekhar made me understand the true meaning of consulting and how important a consultant is within an organization. The course also helped me understand fundamental Consulting methods including the 4S method, TOSCA framework, Cost-benefit analysis, and the McKinsey way.
I was thrilled and excited at the prospect of working as a consultant through the course ContraForce. Many thanks to Professor Gaurav Shekar for providing us with the opportunity. As a team, we hope to learn and deliver Cyber Security solutions through Azure ML notebooks. I would like to thank our sponsor, Stan Golubchik, and also Ricky Melendez and Ojas Abhay Sonnis for helping us explore and learn a ton of stuff in Azure Sentinel and Azure Machine Learning Studio including MITRE attacks, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and User Entity and Behavior Analytics (UEBA).
One thing that I loved most working with ContraForce is the value they placed in our team's opinion. It made me understand the importance of perspective obtained from an external source. A consultant can provide that outside perspective that every organization needs in-order to fine-tune its processes. Moving forward, I am looking forward to incorporating my expertise in Data Analytics and Machine Learning using Python in Azure notebooks to provide solutions that align with the needs of ContraForce.
I would also like to thank Professor Gaurav Shekar for providing us with access to take up the Gallup Clifton Strength Assessment. Realizing that my strengths were Includer, Arranger, Individualization, Empathy, and Developer, I was able to concentrate on them to bring out more efficient performance.
It has been a great experience working with my teammates Blake Yanez, Preethi Sugumar, Mehul Sanyal, Rahul Bhatt, and Varun Nanduri. They've given the team their constant coordination and support that helped us achieve our goals. I am sure that problem-solving and teamwork have improved drastically over this period.
