Data Science Simplified..Continued

Data science is about describing the data in required formats so that you can understand your data that helps in making decisions. It is about telling in advance (foretelling) the information from the available data. This prediction helps greatly to not only to understand the data, but also to make important decision to increase the growth of the business. Data science can give very valuable insight into data including prescription what you may want to do in order to achieve better results, that is, data science can prescribe so that you can reduce the amount of risk, and you can increase the business growth.

"People...operate with beliefs and biases. To the extent you can eliminate both and replace them with data, you gain a clear advantage. - Michael Lewis, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game

Repeatedly watched advertisement of a brand X will influence you to buy that brand when you are shopping for the product. You might fall in love with a book, before you actually read the book, when you hear the review about the book from your your best friend. (You may replace word 'book' with movie, actress, artist, website, or an organization). Trust is not built in a day, but it can be built in minutes when data is explicable. That is, if a stranger, S,  meets you and talks to you about any subject using your words, your language trust can be built much faster.

What is happening in the above cases is that you are being provided with the data that is relevant and convincing to you. What the brand X company or the stranger S are doing to you is they are offering you with the relevant data at required time. Data can do wonders when analyzed using various statistical methods, mathematical models and machine learning algorithms.
