The "Choosing Courage" Pre-Order Challenge!

The "Choosing Courage" Pre-Order Challenge!

Choosing Courage  – will be published by Harvard Business Review Press on May 18th!

I’m also happy to share that a first taste of the book is available now. Just go to my website (jimdetert.com) for a free download of Chapter 1. You can also learn more about the book in general on my website.

During the pre-order phase of my book launch I am asking supporters to order their copy now, noting that Amazon pre-orders are particularly important for the book's overall success. As someone who loves and is committed to local, independent bookstores, this makes asking you to help me by pre-ordering a copy of Choosing Courage on Amazon a bit uncomfortable for me.

So, here’s what I’ve decided to do. For every 100 copies of Choosing Courage sold on Amazon prior to May 18th, I’ll donate most of my royalty by making a donation to an independent bookstore in the amount of $250. I’ll start with The Strand in NYC, as it’s my favorite bookstore. Feel free to suggest the next independent bookstores to be helped in this way!

If you want to help, while also garnering important insights about the ways to become more competently courageous in work (and life), please do pre-order Choosing Courage today.

Jim, this is truly moving stuff. That courage is a chosen path resonates and it comes at a time when the distance between acting with purpose and contrarianism is growing... and courage rightly belongs to the first.
