Blender 5.0 - Bundle & Closure

Blender 5.0 - Bundle & Closure

Blender 5.0 introduces Bundle and Closure nodes.

A real step forward for Geometry Nodes!

They simplify complex setups, unlock more advanced workflows, and pave the way for notable UI improvements in 5.1🚀

Bundle Nodes 📘

No more endless messy links crisscrossing your node tree. 🕸️

Now you can bundle data and extract it later in your graph. 🗃️

The only thing missing is the ability to hide links entirely to keep graphs super clean!

Closure Nodes 📗

They let you embed node setups inside more complex ones.

Expose a selection of nodes outside of a node group without diving into its internals. 🔎

If you know coding, think of Closures as functions you can call in your setup using Evaluate Closure. 📝

Closures also open the door to exciting UI improvements.

They allow nodes like Float Curve or Color Ramp to appear directly in your Node Groups interface in the node editor, modifiers, or elsewhere. 🔥

This major enhancement will likely land in Blender 5.1 rather than 5.0.

Bundles are simple to grasp.

Closures are harder to explain but they will soon be essential.

They improve Blender’s usability while unlocking new creative power. 🚀

All these additions make Blender an even stronger tool for procedural logic enthusiasts.

Blender keeps cementing its place as a must-have 3D software in this decade. 🏆

Makes sense that I can only get closure in Blender and not in real life.

Thomas Marcos thanks for letting us know about these two new features! Great things ahead!
