I think to make college cost make sense the measure of college success should include graduation rates, rate of their past students loan repayment, surveying students to find out how involved their schools were in helping locate employment, to name a few. When we compare the cost of college education with starting wages and an individual students ability to pay or repay student loans without parental assistance, I think we would find startling evidence that cost does not support the benefit. Everyone should have access to higher education without going bankrupt before they start their first “real” or career job, and no you can’t bankrupt student loan debt but that in itself is very telling.
