3 Social Media Tools You Don't Know About (But You Should)
Unless you spend all (or most) of your time in social media marketing, like me, then you probably don’t keep up with the latest advancements for Facebook optimization and upcoming news about Twitter’s latest features for lead generation.
Have I bored you yet? You can be honest.
But that’s why I'm here! *Cue superhero music* I do the research for you, so you can spend time in your business, while we let you know how to better your brand’s presence online.
When it comes to social media tools, Hootsuite is one of the originals and probably the most popular. Most businesses know and use Hootsuite to schedule their posts across several platforms. Social media tools are a big help to businesses that don’t have social media managers. They can save you time and track the analytics for you.
Here are three “under the radar” social media tools that I think could benefit your business:
1) WooRank
Not necessarily for social media, but it is a great gauge for analyzing your website. Simply type in your website url in order to get your review. WooRank gives you a score on an 100-point scale along with a thorough analysis showing where you “passed” and where improvements can be made. You are allowed one simple, but beneficial website review per week, if you want to go the free route. The basic plan is $49/month and would more than enough detail for small businesses.
Okay, so I kind of cheated by calling it a “social media” tool. But, I hope you forgive me when you see how powerful WooRank is.
P.S. For kicks, you should review WooRank’s website to see what score they give themselves.
2) twtrland
If you’re looking for an analysis for your social media, twtrland allows you to connect your Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram (which is rare). Also, LinkedIn, Google+, and Tubmlr are coming soon.
What does it do?
It shows your level of activity, popularity, and communication. It also shows your top content and breaks down the distribution of your posts into the percentage of images, replies, etc. Twtrland reports who you have talked to recently and who are influencers among your followers. Basic demographics are provided under the free account, but they hide quite a bit to encourage you to upgrade your account. Plans start at $19.99/month and free trials are available for all account types.
Using twtrland can help your business know WHO to target with WHAT content.
3) Swayy
Gathering content to share takes time. A lot of it.
Swayy makes it easy for you to find intriguing articles and trending topics in your market. You are able to add your Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts. After creating a free account, a giant list of articles relevant to your business appears. At the top, a bar graph show the top trending sources and topics that match your audience. You can even add topics to that list to broaden or specify the kinds of articles, videos, images, etc. you want to share.
The free account is probably sufficient, but there are plans that include greater details.
