Who is nature's lawyer? 😍 At the MSC's "We Don't Have Time " format, Mary Robinson (former President of Ireland) and Juan Manuel Santos (former President of Colombia) joined a panel in their role as Planetary Guardians. The Planetary Guardians initiative, built around scientist Johan Rockström, calls for global advocacy within planetary boundaries: a synthesis of scientific rigor and ethical responsibility. This rationale has deep intellectual roots, including Michael Serres' Natural Contract and Bruno Latour's Parliament of Things. Recently, it is increasingly being picked up by organizations such as the Berggruen Institute Institute’s initiative for planetary governance. The conceptual groundwork exists. Now is the hour of those who do the actual lawyering on behalf of nature (people like the Planetary Guardians) translating ideas into action. On March 26th, one of those action-oriented people joins us for our next Creative Leadership Salon in #Munich. 😍 Michaela Krömer, founder of CLAW - Initiative für Klimarecht , systematically takes the Austrian state to court, holding it accountable for the well-being of future generations in the face of accelerating climate change.🚀 You are warmly welcome to join us here: https://luma.com/osljgcib Romas Stukenberg Steffen Vogt Mercedes H. At the Munich Security Conference, fomer Irish president Mary Robinson made a crucial point: climate change is not just a physical crisis. It is also an information crisis. Mary Robinson is absolutely right when she speaks about the urgent need to fight for truth and strengthen what she calls “cognitive security.” When misinformation spreads faster than facts, when doubt is amplified deliberately, and when public trust erodes, our ability to respond to real threats weakens. That is not just a communications problem. It is a security issue. Cognitive security is about protecting the integrity of public understanding. It is about ensuring that citizens, leaders and institutions can make decisions based on evidence rather than manipulation. In the climate space, this is decisive. Delay has often been driven not by lack of science, but by distortion of science. Not by lack of solutions, but by confusion around them. Mary Robinson’s call is clear. Defending truth is not optional. It is foundational to democracy, climate action and global stability. This panel from the Munich Security Conference addresses exactly that. It is worth your time. All the more annoying that there are still so! many! people! advocating for down-prioritizing climate change because "the military threat is more urgent". Yes to priorities and, agreed, the threat is very, very real but it comes with these highly complex time that we cannot operate mono-thematically, there has to be at least a "two-war-standard". Military conflicts can have devasting implications for sure, but most are reversible - not so climate change! At least not in a time frame that has any meaning for us and our children and grandchildren. If we don't include the climate crisis in our strategies, we might not have anything left to defend in a scarily near future. So stop pitting other crises against the climate crisis, this is not an either-or-situation.

No matter how far we advance technologically we must always consider the ecological aspect as well as how well we coordinate within ourselves to reach our goals, an important initiative!
