Another update to our new live AI captions and translation system. Alongside real-time captions and multilingual translation for live events, we now also support session transcript recording with downloadable TXT and SRT outputs. So in addition to live on-screen captions, relay screens, and translated output, clients can now retain: • Full plain text transcript (.TXT) • Timecoded subtitle file (.SRT) for recorded content and post-production workflows Useful for accessibility deliverables, post-event editing, content repurposing, compliance records, and archived session transcripts. Built with real live event workflows in mind. #LiveCaptions #LiveTranslation #EventTech #HybridEvents #VirtualEvents #Accessibility #EventProduction #ConferenceTech #Webcasting #LiveStreaming #Subtitling #AITranslation

We timed 4 transcription tools on the same 2-hour video. Results: → Otter.ai: 2 hours, 4 minutes → Descript: 31 minutes → Rev AI: 24 hours + $30 invoice → VideoText: 4 minutes, 38 seconds Same audio file. Same transcript output. The difference isn't AI vs. human. It's synchronous vs. asynchronous processing. Most tools wait for your video to "play through" before transcribing. That's why a 2-hour video takes 2 hours. VideoText extracts audio once, then runs speech recognition, speaker detection, chapter generation, and summary simultaneously. Not one after the other. All at once. 4 minutes. If you're waiting 30+ minutes on transcription, that's not a tool problem. That's an architecture problem. 👉 Try it free at https://videotext.io/ — drop a video/audio file. First 3 transcripts are free. No credit card. --- What transcription tool is your team using right now? Drop it below — genuinely curious what the experience is like.

A great example of how AI can drive real value - when used responsibly. A recent project for a client required subtitling two videos in multiple languages, but no scripts were available. Traditionally, creating scripts, SubRip (SRT) files, would have involved specialized software and technician time. Instead, with the client’s approval and confirmation that the content was public and non-proprietary, we leveraged AI to generate the initial SRT files. The result? ◾ Fast turnaround ◾ ~95% accuracy out of the gate ◾ Nearly 50% cost savings for the client AI didn’t replace our linguists - it streamlined the setup so our experts could focus on what matters most: quality, culturally accurate translations and subtitling. A win for efficiency, a win for the client, and a win for impact-driven organizations. #GlobalDoc #LangXpert #LanguageServices #Translation #Subtitling #AIinBusiness #ResponsibleAI

I’d be happy to share some of the common issues we see with AI-generated content submitted to Translate. One for machine translation. In many cases, a few small adjustments significantly improved efficiency, enhanced translation quality, and helped control costs by reducing the amount of post-editing required. https://lnkd.in/dPUzDnV

A newsroom story should not stop at text. I have now integrated AI voiceover support into NewsGenie v2. NewsGenie is a Hindi-first Agentic AI Newsroom System built from 25+ years of real newsroom experience. It supports story framing, transcript/translation, multi-format output, video-ready scripting, social copy and rough-cut production support. With AI voiceover, the workflow moves one step further, from written output toward audio/video production readiness. The idea is simple: reduce repetitive production load, speed up turnaround and help digital-first newsrooms create more platform-ready output with leaner teams. For Hindi and regional-language newsrooms, voice, tone and language quality are also part of editorial trust. NewsGenie is evolving from an AI writing layer into a practical AI newsroom workflow system. #AIInJournalism #DigitalNewsroom #NewsroomInnovation #HindiMedia #MediaTech

Check out Violin🎻— great open source framework to translate educational videos into different languages. Handles long videos efficiently. Violin also enables you to chat and ask questions about the video in real time! Great job by Shang Zhu and Kevin Qinghong Lin and supported by Together AI.
Introducing Violin — an open-source video translation tool and agent skills. As a multilingual speaker, I've always wanted a tool that could translate videos into my mother tongue. So we built one. Violin combines audio transcription, LLM translation, and speech synthesis into a single pipeline, all powered by Together AI. You can “chat” with a video and pick your favorite voice style using plain text instructions. It ships as a CLI, a web app, and agent skills — flexible for whatever workflow you prefer. 🎻 Demo: https://www.violin-ai.com/ 📂 Repo: https://lnkd.in/g3VHCrmp 📝 Blog: https://lnkd.in/gkgMM4KF Huge thanks to my amazing collaborators Kevin Qinghong Lin and James Zou! #OpenSource #VideoTranslation #AI #LLM #TogetherAI

Over the past few weeks, VideoText.io has started appearing across multiple AI and transcription tool directories. Not because of ads. Because people are actively searching for: * faster transcription workflows * subtitle automation * QA formatting tools * speaker diarization * transcription guideline enforcement We’re still early. But momentum compounds. The interesting part: Most transcription tools stop at ‘generate transcript’. We’re focused on the painful part after transcription: * formatting * QA cleanup * subtitle structuring * export workflows * client guideline enforcement * delivery-ready outputs That workflow layer is massively underserved. More updates coming.
