In 2023, Professor Per Davidsson won the “Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research». We recently organized a workshop with NTNU, where Per and some of the key cluster members working on autonomous ships joined us. The goal was to explore whether his business framework, “External Enablers,” could be used to develop new business opportunities and models in this domain. Special thanks to Carl Johansson from Zeabuz for presenting Zeabus and using them as a case in the workshop. The workshop was part of the capacity-building initiative MIDAS - 'Humans in Future Maritime Operations' - addressing the role of humans in tasks at sea where autonomy and automation are becoming increasingly prominent. We’re beyond excited to share an interview with our founder, Alona Lashchenko, from the final event of the URBAN TECH Project in Vienna, Austria. 🌍✨ 🎤 In this insightful chat, Alona delves into Everyrun’s journey and our mission to combat obesity and loneliness by providing cutting-edge technology for event organisers. You can watch the interview here: https://lnkd.in/djwX6sQV Over 400 startups applied to be part of the Urban Tech program, but only 37 were selected, and Everyrun was one of them! This program brought together innovators from all over Europe, providing us with incredible support and resources to grow. 🌟 Throughout the program, supported by the European Commission and EIT Urban Mobility, we achieved several milestones: - Enhanced our backend and frontend development, ensuring a smoother user experience and robust event management capabilities. - Implemented strategic partnerships and pitch training, connecting with sports groups and local authorities to expand our reach. - Launched our virtual events platform in collaboration with Kauno Maratonas / Kaunas Marathon, bringing a new dimension to running events - Expanded our activities to new markets: Lithuania, Italy, Slovenia and Greece. Why does our mission matter? Poor health costs Europe, on average, about €2.7 trillion, or 15% of GDP, annually in lost economic opportunity. This is equivalent to about €5,000 per person. In 2020, just over three-quarters of a million (762,800) deaths in the EU – equivalent to 180.0 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants – could have been prevented through better public health interventions. This data highlights the urgent need for initiatives that promote health and well-being. At Everyrun, our mission is to fight obesity and loneliness by providing advanced technology to empower event organisers and community leaders to efficiently manage and scale their events, making it easier for communities to stay active and connected. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Together, we’re making a real impact in Europe and bringing people together through running. 🏃♀️🏃♂️💪 #Everyrun #UrbanTech #StartupJourney #CommunityRunning #Innovation

Club Redundo Update: Another Week, more Redundos! 🚀 Club Redundo is growing fast, and each week, we’re learning more about how to best support folks facing redundancy. From upskilling and personal branding to career coaching, networking, and yes, a safe place to vent—we’ve got your back through the journey! One thing that keeps coming up? When redundancy hits, the first instinct is to think, “What did I do wrong?” But here’s the deal: redundancies happen for a range business reasons that often have nothing to do with individual performance, like: * 📈 Changing direction: Business goals shift! * 💰 Cost-cutting: Keeping the company viable * 🤖 New tech: New systems, fewer hands needed * 🔄 Restructuring: Moving parts around * ✂️ Right-sizing: Making the workforce fit new plans Redundancy is just a part of today’s fast-moving business world—not a personal failing. That’s why at Club Redundo, we’re all about looking forward. With our community by your side, we’ll help you take on what’s next: skills, connections, confidence—the whole toolkit. Ready to take your next step? Let Club Redundo be your guide. #ClubRedundo #CareerReset #NoShame #RedefiningRedundancy #CareerGrowth #What’sNext #CommunitySupport #Redundancy

[IRL in BLR-HSR] We are hosting a closed door roundtable discussion on building modern Outcome-as-a-Service companies based on our early thesis as well as our journey with 4 of our OaaS companies and their learnings. It’s a small group for a focused discussion — we’re opening up 4 community spots (due to space limitations) for new OaaS founders who may want to join this brainstorm session on real learnings from real journeys. - You must be ideating or are in the super early days of building an OaaS startup - You must not have raised any external capital barring friends & family checks - You are already convinced about OaaS more than others and align with content here: https://lnkd.in/dNn_H9Qe Our goal here is to share our learnings with more folks who are in the OaaS camp - if there is more interest than the limited capacity we have for tomorrow’s event, we will do a separate full community-only FutureFounders session on OaaS soon. Apologies in advance for the capacity constraint. 🙏 If you are building/ideating an OaaS startup and this is of interest, please register below.

A glimpse into our Active Adventures 2024! 🥳Our incredible team of innovators is hard at work, dedicated to bringing innovative solutions from ideation to implementation. Together, we're building a brighter future for agriculture🌱 As we wrap up the year, we're reflecting on the milestones that made it unforgettable. Joining the KIC community was the catalyst that propelled us forward, enabling us to achieve remarkable feats 😎 Our Military Bootcamp experience taught us valuable lessons in discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. These skills have been instrumental in shaping our approach to entrepreneurship and innovation, and have helped us stay focused, motivated, and collaborative throughout our journey. Our team worked tirelessly to bring innovative products to life! From designing the machine to building, and developing with the expertise of our engineers, we've made tremendous progress. Securing Funds, huge thanks to KIC for their support! After various pitching sessions with the ideation team and incorporating their valuable feedback, we've finally secured seed funding to fuel our future projects! It's been an amazing journey so far, and we can't wait to see what's next! #ActiveAdventures2024 #AgriculturalInnovation #SustainabilityInAction #FutureOfAgriculture #InnovationInAction #AgricultureMatters #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #KIC
