Thank you to The Seeing Eye for visiting our Independent Living Skills program on Monday, May 17! Participants enjoyed learning about the journey to pursuing a guide dog, including the training, responsibility, and partnership involved in guide dog ownership. The group also had the opportunity to participate in Juno Walks to simulate what it’s like to travel with a guide dog and especially loved spending time interacting with future guide dogs in training. We’re grateful for this engaging and educational experience that helped participants build confidence and learn more about accessible travel and independence.
