Vinay Awasthi’s Post

Some professional decisions that feel difficult on paper can be surprisingly clear in the heart. Due to recent changes in the health of senior family members, I have decided to step down from my role as SVP, Worldwide Sales at Qualcomm. I can no longer give my full attention to both my global sales responsibilities and my family, and this is the choice that best serves my family. We will not be relocating to the U.S.; I will remain based in Singapore and will divide my time between Singapore and India.

Thank you all for your reach outs- here and in private! When such a life decision gets endorsed by so many of my sponsors, colleagues and friends, I realize this is the real wealth I have accumulated over my professional journey. 🙏

Very wise decision Vinay Awasthi. As seniors we should realise it and set examples for next generation for overall wellbeing and happiness. Otherwise there is no limit. As you may say (copied from somewhere) ... "क़ासिद, सरे-बाज़ार, यह रफ़्तार-ए-ज़िंदगी, क़ीमत तो भारी है, पर रूह है फक़ीर।"

Sending my thoughts to you and your family, Vinay. You have your priorities exactly right—work will always be here when you return. I truly understand the pull of family needs, as it's partly why I'm retiring next month. Wishing you the best as you take care of your loved ones.

Wishing you all the best in the challenges ahead of you. I know how tough it is. Let me know if I can help in any way, Vinay.

Take care Vinay Awasthi. Do reach out to me in case you need any assistance in Mumbai

All the best for you and your family. 100% with you that family care does provide the sharpest view through lens. Ultimately justified. Take strength from that.

We've never met, Vinay. But I made the same decision 4 years ago and am very glad I did so. My best wishes to you and your family. 🙏

Wishing your loved ones a smooth and speedy recovery, Vinay. Your choice to put family first says so much about your strength and values. Take care, Best Regards,
