In today’s higher education landscape, cohort-based learning is gaining traction as a powerful strategy for improving student retention. Recent insights from a study by the National Student Clearinghouse reveal that institutions utilizing this model see retention rates increase by as much as 25%. This is not merely about grouping students; it’s about creating a supportive community that fosters collaboration and accountability. Moreover, research from EdTech Magazine indicates that students engaged in cohort-based programs report higher satisfaction levels, with 70% stating they feel more connected to their peers and instructors. This sense of belonging is critical, as studies show that students who feel connected to their learning community are 30% more likely to complete their courses. As we look to the future of education, it's clear that retention is not just about analytics; it requires thoughtful intervention and personalized support tailored to the unique dynamics of cohort learning. At AI Mentor, we harness the power of AI to provide actionable insights and timely interventions, ensuring that every student has the support they need to thrive within their cohort. How is your institution leveraging cohort-based learning to enhance student success? Most EdTech is built like teachers have unlimited time. They do not. A math teacher does not need another platform to manage. Another dashboard to check. Another login system to explain. Another screen in the classroom. They need one simple thing: More time to teach. That is why I built MathQuizily. It helps teachers create printable math tests in minutes — with balanced questions, answer keys, and step-by-step solutions. Not to replace teachers. To remove the repetitive work around them. Because the future of education should not be: more screens, more admin, more complexity. It should be: better preparation, clearer assessment, more time with students. AI prepares. Paper focuses. Teachers decide. Students think. That is the EdTech I believe in. Math teachers: what takes more time for you — creating questions, writing solutions, or formatting the test? Try it here: https://lnkd.in/d87rvnv #MathTeachers #EdTech #AIForTeachers #MathAssessment #TeacherTools

Teachers using AI tools save an average of 5.9 hours per week on planning and administration (DemandSage 2026). For most teachers, that time is currently spent building lesson plans, creating presentations, designing classroom activities, and writing assessment papers — often from scratch, often late at night. Make My Lesson is built to give that time back. It is an AI-powered lesson planning platform that generates a complete, curriculum-aligned teaching pack from a single topic entry. One generation produces four documents: a structured lesson plan, a classroom presentation with AI-generated images and speaker notes, a student activity sheet with a separate teacher answer key, and a summative assessment paper with a separate mark scheme. Every output is calibrated to the teacher's exact curriculum route — not a generic template. Make My Lesson supports 71 distinct curriculum routes across Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, the International Baccalaureate, and the United States. A NSW HSC output uses different terminology, command words, and assessment framing than a VCE output — because it should. Make My Lesson is launching soon. Teachers can join the early access waitlist now at MakeMyLesson.ai. If you work with teachers, lead a department, or manage a school — share this with someone who needs it. Just completed analyses of 10-14-year-old participants’ interview responses following the 2-day Basics4AI sessions sponsored by University at Buffalo Institute of Learning Sciences and hosted at @UB and The Valley Center's after-school program. These reflections and conversations led to the conceptualization of the following framework: Basics4AI: A Community-Centered Workflow for Developing Knowledge, Values, Critical Thinking, and Responsible AI Engagement One of the key outcomes emerging from this research is the realization that AI literacy for children cannot be limited to teaching tools or technologies alone. Instead, meaningful AI education appears to emerge through: • cognitively accessible learning experiences • reflection and discussion • playful strategy-based engagement • real-world AI examples • shared family and community conversations The resulting workflow illustrates how young learners move from self-realization of AI concepts toward critical thinking, ethical awareness, responsible AI use, and broader community-centered engagement. This research offers actionable insights for creators in the K-12 space. It is particularly relevant for organizations innovating in playful learning, such as @LEGO Education, @Hasbro, and @Fisher-Price, Inc., who are defining how children interact with smart toys. I invite EdTech creators, curriculum designers, and informal learning organizations to review these outcomes. How can we better integrate these findings into extracurricular and community-centered learning environments? #AIinEducation #EdTech #K12Education #STEMEducation #FutureOfLearningAboutAI

UCAN NW and Parent999: Educational AI Video Courses for Teenagers (6-Week Programme) Looking for an engaging way to evidence learning that fits naturally into UK PSHE, builds confidence, and sparks real interest in education? UCAN NW and Parent999 have created a 6-week educational programme where teenagers learn through educational AI video production—and become the authors and stars of their own show. This isn’t “watch and forget.” It’s active learning, guided creativity, and real outcomes—so students can demonstrate understanding, communication skills, and personal development with pride. Why educational AI videos work for teenagers Teenagers learn best when content feels relevant, voice-driven, and purposeful. Our programme combines: • Structured learning over 6 weeks • AI-supported video creation to help students plan, script, and produce • Personalised themes that connect with student interests • Authentic evidence of learning through their own output—story, presentation, and reflection Students don’t just consume content; they help create it. That creates stronger engagement and clearer evidence for educators and families. The best EdTech does not make teachers busier. It gives them time back. A math teacher should not need to spend hours: creating questions, checking difficulty, writing solutions, formatting PDFs, making answer keys, and preparing different versions of the same test. That is important work. But it should not steal time from teaching. That is why I built MathQuizily. A simple tool that helps math teachers create printable math tests in minutes. Balanced questions. Answer keys. Step-by-step solutions. Ready-to-print PDFs. No student accounts. No installation. No classroom disruption. AI should not replace the teacher. AI should remove the repetitive work around the teacher. So students can still think on paper. Teachers can still make the decisions. And classrooms can stay focused on learning. AI prepares. Paper focuses. Teachers decide. Students think. That is the future of EdTech I believe in. https://lnkd.in/d87rvnv Math teachers: what takes the most time when you prepare a test? #MathTeachers #EdTech #AIForTeachers #MathAssessment #TeacherTools
