According to ezCater’s 2024 Lunch Report, 62% of workers don’t leave their desks at all, and nearly half skip lunch at least once a week. Restaurant traffic is down, business lunches are rare, and for many knowledge workers, lunch has become a solo, rushed, or entirely skipped affair.
At Korn Ferry, experts are seeing the ripple effects: fewer social connections, less collaboration, and a weakening of company culture. Lunch used to be a time to recharge and connect. Now, it’s often just another task squeezed between meetings.
