The Linux Foundation’s Post

DeepSeek made headlines. PyTorch made it possible. Jim Zemlin reminds us that open source AI doesn’t always get the headlines—but it builds the tools that power the breakthroughs. PyTorch is the vehicle. DeepSeek (or others) is the spark. The future of AI is being built in the open. https://hubs.la/Q03dVGTn0

The Linux Foundation, Could you please validate the ticket I opened with you?

Couldn’t agree more — open source is the foundation so much of today’s AI innovation is built on. 🔧 PyTorch continues to be one of the most important enablers in this space. It’s great to see recognition for the tools and communities that make breakthroughs like DeepSeek possible.

Absolutely spot on. PyTorch and other open-source frameworks often work behind the scenes, but they are the foundation for innovation. DeepSeek is a great example of what’s possible because of that solid, open groundwork. Exciting to see how the open-source ecosystem continues to accelerate the future of AI.
