A bit of history lesson by Bernie Sanders: Western Politics Is Built On Colonialism In this interactive session from 2003 with students at the James Madison High School in Brooklyn, New York, US politician and activist Bernie Sanders gives an honest analysis of the politics of his own country and the West at large, highlighting how these politics have always been based on the terrorization and exploitation of the wealthier and more humanistic civilizations of the Global South. The US government’s kidnapping of Venezuela’s popular and democratically-elected President Nicolas Maduro on January 3, 2026, and its continued reign of t£rror over the Latin American country is one of the more recent displays of this centuries-old culture of parasitism. If the members of the US’s own political establishment are frank enough to call out the US for the t£rror state it is, one can only guess why so many Africans are cheering for this country – especially given their continent’s own history with it. #Sanders #Chile #USA Article credit: Spearhead Media
Naomi Klein's book "The Shock Doctrine" is a really interesting walk through of the role of US foreign economic and political policy in Latin America. The book, indeed, was shocking.
The young people of this country aren’t as stupid as old people think and change is coming.
This Nation has pillaged & raped the human history of the good years - Roman Empire fell without a trace so 🔜 will this Hegemon too follow into oblivion and relics of history! Nations would rejoice!
This is so sad.
personal interests and fake behaviour is dominating the world

Why is Bernie Sanders against reparations for African descendants?
Not sure if the original question, which is in two parts, was ever directly answered. The answer Bernie gave was an indirect way to define the challenge of Bernie’s political position with history. The answer about why the US overthrows gov’ts is really because the US, like any wealth driven country, takes resources by force from resource rich but militarily weak countries then either 1) instills a corruptable local ally or 2) justfiies violent removal of those who say “no” by “going after their government (or culture or identity)” - this justifcation secures the support of violent grabs of resources from“freedom-loving, Christians” (this cognitive dissonace helps voters look away). Bernie actually never asnwered the first comment about his position on protecting the working class because he can’t help them, and he alluded to this with his answer: if you are resource rich but can’t protect your assets - a more powerful player will take your stuff by force, instill a token, then justfiy why the took your stuff by saying you’re the enemy, i.e. indigenous lands, eminent domain , etc. This is why homie never made it any higher in gov’t then he did. He is the basically the flip of Ross Perot…only there to take away votes.
