Nothing is easy. The dramas of desktop development. You need a certificate or a bunch of convoluted steps that many users just wouldn't do to install. So I tried to get the cheapest Windows signing I could and it seems #Kirra is not notable enough to be signed. At least they had a a look at it. Instead I'd have to pay monthly subscriptions for signing certificates. Unless anyone has any ideas, I haven't thought of ? Until then you have to disable your "smart app protections" to install on windows desktop. But why bother just use the web app its a nightly build at the moment. #windows #signing #certificates #tauri #desktop #drillandblast.

📨 Getting 10 emails at once in Windows 11? They won't flood your Notification Centre — they get grouped! Windows 11 automatically stacks multiple notifications from the same app into a single group in Notification Centre (Win+N). How notification grouping works: → All notifications from the same app appear as one collapsed group → The group shows the app name and total count → Click to expand the group and see individual notifications → Dismiss one at a time or dismiss the whole group with one X click Why this is great: ✅ 20 emails don't become 20 separate pop-ups ✅ Notification Centre stays clean and scannable ✅ Easy to process notifications app-by-app Pro tip: Right-click the group header for quick actions like 'Turn off all notifications from [app]' — great if a certain app is getting too noisy! Do you prefer grouped or individual notifications? 💬 #ConnectedGeek #Windows11 #Notifications #WindowsTips #Productivity #ITTips

Two Windows App updates shipped this week — one fixes a silent failure in Windows store Windows app deployments, the other previews meaningful improvements for Windows 365 Boot deployments. What went wrong (and is now fixed): If you have Microsoft Store auto-updates disabled in your environment — common in managed enterprise deployments — Windows App was silently failing to update itself. Version 2.0.1071.0 (public, April 24) resolves this, but there's a catch: because previous versions couldn't self-update into the fix, a one-time manual update is required. If your users are still on an older build and Store auto-updates are off, they won't get this automatically. Plan accordingly. What's in the Insider build (2.0.1129.0, April 29): improvements to Windows 365 Boot: 🔹 Captive portal handling during the boot flow (think hotel Wi-Fi, conference networks) 🔹 Auto-reconnect when undocking or changing networks — no manual session restart required 🔹 Improved client-side logging for easier troubleshooting If you're evaluating or piloting Windows 365 Boot, the Insider channel is worth testing. And if you manage a managed Store environment, that manual update action is worth scheduling now. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e3Gi-bKW
