Strong AI adoption in the public sector starts with honesty — about data, readiness, and the responsibility that comes with deploying technology at scale. It was encouraging to see such an open and practical discussion between our CTO Chandan Potukuchi, COO Stuart MacDonald, and technology reporter Jane Wakefield, alongside senior leaders from across the UK public sector. The conversation centred on the real enablers of AI in government: trusted and resilient data foundations, transparency by design, and the leadership required to move beyond pilots toward sustainable, citizen‑focused transformation. The message was clear: AI is already reshaping public services. Disruption is inevitable — but thoughtful adaptation is how we deliver better outcomes for citizens at scale.

Where will AI genuinely make a difference for public sector organisations? Much of the immediate value lies in automating manual, repetitive tasks. Document recognition, invoice processing, and classification are examples where human effort can be significantly reduced. The longer-term opportunity lies in predictive insight. Councils can identify households at risk of hardship earlier and intervene appropriately. Finance teams can forecast budget pressures with greater precision and scenario-plan with increased confidence. The emphasis shifts from reacting to events to preventing them. TechnologyOne is leading this conversation and delivering solutions, making life simpler for our communities.

It was incredible to hear the insights shared at the opening of our AI in Action | APAC event. Vishal Chhibbar and Jennifer O’Brien set the perfect momentum for our practical, impact-driven conversations. They touched on a reality I hear about all the time. Everyone is eager to invest in AI, but making it actually work across an entire enterprise is a completely different challenge. Jennifer shared some eye-opening context about how the real roadblock is often just having the right data foundations and governance in place. It turns out that while a huge majority of organizations are testing out AI agents, only a fraction are successfully scaling them. We hear a lot about “#AI transforming #SupplyChains”… but what does that actually mean for the people doing the work? At this year's #aim10xdigital I'm excited to hear from Caroline Chumakov, Principal Researcher at Zero100, and her perspective on what work will actually change, where AI will make teams better (and where it won’t), and how leaders should navigate the human side of this shift. Three-quarters of leaders and employees agree AI is important, but most are not skilled enough to use it meaningfully. Until teams understand AI deeply, adoption stays shallow. #SkillGap #FutureOfWork

If your social / news feeds are anything like mine - you're getting inundated with articles & company results telling stories of downsizing and cost-cutting due to AI. On the MWC26 stage, Calix President and CEO Michael Weening delivered a very different message: AI’s real promise is growth. With Kate Crawford, he discussed a shift in thinking toward impactful workflows & employee inspiration. We all need to change the narrative on AI: let's focus it on driving subscriber experiences AND employee experiences. 🎥 Watch the full video. 🔗https://ow.ly/qGuZ50Yposm #MWC26 #AI #MobileWorldCongress

Where do organisations really stand with #AI? AI intent is high across EMEA. Turning that intent into defensible value is harder. The blockers aren’t technological: fragmented data, system complexity, unclear ownership, and operating models not built for AI at scale. In EMEA, trust, accountability, and regulation raise the stakes — and expose weak foundations faster. 📅 Tomorrow, at 11.00, join us for the Talking Trends will focus on how global AI trends translate into practical decisions for EMEA leaders and their teams. Many business leaders are focused on minor cost savings from artificial intelligence while ignoring its potential to fundamentally change their business model. Not Michael Weening of Calix, Eric Laughlin of Agiloft and Jennifer Marriott of Redmond Waltz Co. They’re committing fully, integrating AI into strategy and core operations across the value chain. An insightful evening tuned in to Quantexa’s #QuanCon26 and a snippet of the simply put…“once in a generation” innovation. • Data is most valuable when it connects across generations — legacy systems and modern platforms must work together. • Context matters more than volume — understanding relationships in data drives better decisions. • Trust and transparency are essential when using AI across generational datasets. • The future belongs to organisations that can turn historical data into forward-looking insight. Grateful for the conversations, insights, and innovation shared by Vishal Marria , his Q-family and the astounding guests and partners. P.s Happy 10 Year Anniversary! #QuanCon26 #DataIntelligence #AI #Innovation #Quantexa

6dData foundations and trust keep surfacing as the actual bottleneck for AI at scale, not the technology itself. Good to see a CTO and COO having that conversation openly rather than leading with the tool and backfilling the foundations later.
