I hear and read a lot about recruiters ghosting, not responding to candidates who qualify but may not be selected for the role… This lack of empathy comes from the HR Leader… As an HR leader I haven’t lost touch with reality, and my expectations are clear! Treat everyone how you would want to be treated. Everyone will always find themselves on the other “side” seeking new opportunities. Respect Respond Reassure candidates they are seen. It’s not that complicated.

The Importance of Treating HRs/Recruiters/Talent Acquisition with Respect I’ve seen it time and again — the way you communicate with a recruiter says a lot about your professionalism, attitude, and emotional intelligence. Remember: recruiters are not gatekeepers — they are your advocates. Their goal is to connect you with the right opportunities, help you present your best self, and guide you through the hiring process. Here’s why behaving well with recruiters matters: ✅ First Impressions Last: How you treat recruiters often reflects how you’ll treat colleagues, clients, and leadership. ✅ Networking Power: Recruiters move across industries and companies. A good relationship today could open unexpected doors tomorrow. ✅ Mutual Respect Builds Trust: Politeness, responsiveness, and gratitude create a lasting professional impression. ✅ Reputation Travels: The professional world is smaller than it seems — good manners go a long way. So, whether you’re just exploring options or actively job hunting, communicate professionally, stay courteous, and value the human connection behind every email or call. Because at the end of the day, how you treat people in your job search reflects how you’ll treat people in your job. #CareerTips #JobSearch #Recruitment #Professionalism #Networking #Respect

I really don’t understand why some recruiters reach out saying there’s a “great opportunity”, but share zero details and then completely disappear when you reply or ask a simple question. No follow-up. No response. Just silence for days or weeks, while they’re clearly active online. That’s not acceptable. If you start a conversation, the least you can do is close it properly. For me, anyone who acts like that goes straight to the “don’t respond again” list. It’s not about ego; it’s about respect and professionalism. #Recruitment #JobSearch #Professionalism #CareerGrowth #Respect #HR #Hiring #Recruiters #Communication #LinkedInEtiquette #CareerDevelopment #WorkEthics

🔍 Red Flags & Green Flags in Candidate Screening Hiring is one of the most important responsibilities in HR. A single decision can impact culture, team performance, and long-term growth. That’s why screening candidates carefully is non-negotiable. Here are the signs I always pay attention to: 🚩 Red Flags • Inconsistent career story — when the resume and explanation don’t align. • Blaming past employers — a strong indicator of low accountability. • Frequent job changes without clarity — possible commitment issues. • No research about the company — shows low interest or preparation. • Overconfidence without examples — claims with no real substance. • Weak communication — especially risky in collaborative roles. ✅ Green Flags • Ownership mindset — they explain their contributions, not just tasks. • Honest about gaps or mistakes — transparency shows maturity. • Clear, structured thinking — strong problem-solving ability. • Learning mindset — eagerness to grow and upskill. • Genuine curiosity — they ask meaningful questions. • Consistent story — across resume, conversation, and references. 💡 Final Thought Skills are important, but attitude, integrity, and mindset often tell the real story. Better screening = better teams. #Hiring #Recruitment #HR #HumanResources #TalentAcquisition #CandidateScreening #HiringTips #HRInsights #PeopleAndCulture #WorkCulture #HRBestPractices #FutureOfWork #Leadership #EmployeeExperience #HRCommunity

When Candidates Vanish: What Ghosting Says About Today’s Job Market We’ve all heard about employers ghosting candidates. But what about when the silence goes the other way? A growing number of job seekers are disappearing mid-process—or even after accepting an offer. It’s frustrating, costly, and increasingly common across most industries. In today's newsletter, we look at why candidates ghost, what it reveals about communication gaps, and how leaders can prevent it without losing their sanity (or their next hire). 💬 Let’s talk about something many people are afraid to say out loud. To all employers and recruiters, Please, stop misleading candidates. When you hire someone and make them sign a contract, they do it based on the job description and responsibilities you clearly mentioned. But once they start working, everything suddenly changes they end up doing completely different tasks that have nothing to do with their role. Even worse, the contract they signed often turns out to be the opposite of what was agreed upon during the hiring process. That’s not professionalism it’s misleading and unfair. If you’re hiring for multiple roles or expecting extra responsibilities, be honest and transparent from the start. Don’t waste people’s time or energy with false expectations. Many companies today claim to follow rules and policies, yet they create their own and impose them, even when they contradict the contract or labor laws. Where’s the honesty in that? Where’s the respect? If you expect candidates to follow your rules, follow them yourselves first. This message comes from real frustration with how unfair and unprofessional many companies have become. It’s time for change. #Honesty #Fairness #Respect #Recruitment #Transparency #WorkEthics #Professionalism #CandidateExperience

𝑨 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑯𝑹 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒔, 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 💬 Lately, many job seekers - including myself, have noticed a growing pattern that deserves attention. Despite being on a professional platform like LinkedIn, many HRs and recruiters don’t respond to candidate messages or emails. What’s worse is seeing them active - posting, sharing, and engaging - yet not acknowledging a professional inquiry or follow-up. HR is the first point of contact between a candidate and a company. The way you communicate reflects your organization’s culture, values, and professionalism. Ignoring candidates doesn’t just look unprofessional - it damages your company’s brand. And ironically, while many HRs complain about candidates “ghosting” or not joining after offers, the same behavior often starts from the recruiter’s side. If we expect professionalism and respect, we must lead by example. If a role is already filled or internally closed, update or remove the posting. Many candidates apply with genuine hope, investing their time, effort, and emotions - only to later hear that the position was already filled. Transparency matters. Even a simple message like “We’ve moved forward with other candidates” shows empathy and accountability. Silence, on the other hand, speaks volumes. ➡️ Candidates often see rejection as the end — a closed door with a “REJECTED” stamp. ➡️ But a good HR sees it as redirection — guiding the candidate toward a better-fit role, improving their profile, or helping them understand what’s needed next time. In hiring, rejection isn’t always a failure — sometimes it’s a detour toward the right opportunity. A thoughtful HR doesn’t just reject applications; they redirect talent. #hr #hrlife #hiring #interviewtips #jobsearch #recruitment #humanresources #career #jobseekers #opportunities #growthmindset #motivation #linkedincommunity

Applicant thoughts #5 — The Responsibility of the Recruiter Who takes responsibility when a “perfect match” turns out completely wrong? Sometimes a role looks ideal — the profile fits, the conversation flows, and expectations seem aligned. Yet reality can turn out very different once you step inside. Explainer: Roles can read as an excellent fit, yet day-to-day reality runs on a different rulebook. That gap is where trust is won or lost. Because recruiters understand both perspectives — and are compensated by the employer — the duty of care is to test culture and intentions, not only capabilities. Clear signals upfront (ways of working, decision rights, leadership style, tolerance for change) protect both parties. When a match fails, it’s the candidate and the employer who absorb the time, cost, and emotional toll. Ethical recruitment bridges expectations and reality before an offer is signed. Three questions to leave with the reader: 👉 How rigorously do we validate cultural fit alongside skills? 👉 Are the company’s real intentions consistent with what’s promised to candidates? 👉 If gaps appear, do both sides receive transparent guidance before moving forward? Recruiters don’t just connect people with jobs — they bridge expectations and reality. Because in the end, a great hire isn’t just about filling a role — it’s about protecting trust. #jobsearch #applicantthoughts #recruitment #leadership #hrresponsibility #companyculture #ethics #trust #careers

Recruitment isn’t broken — but our approach sometimes is. We post jobs. We wait. We hope the “perfect candidate” appears. But here’s the truth 👉 The best talent isn’t always looking. They’re already working — and you need to go find them. Recruitment in 2025 isn’t about filling roles. It’s about building relationships. It’s about listening more than pitching. It’s about understanding people before judging resumes. Because behind every job title, there’s a story. And behind every recruiter, there should be empathy. So let’s stop calling it “hiring” — Let’s start calling it connecting. #Recruitment #Hiring #TalentAcquisition #Leadership #HR #RecruiterLife
