For years, we’ve been building with AI at Walmart. Testing, scaling and putting it to work across one of the most complex businesses in the world. When AI is no longer the domain of a few experts and it becomes a language many can speak, everything changes. Innovation accelerates, ideas flow and we move from experimenting with tools to reimagining what’s possible. This isn’t about efficiency alone. It’s about rearchitecting commerce, powering supply chains, and elevating experiences for our customers and members. A future with AI is more than smarter machines, it’s a smarter, more connected world. This is where technology meets possibility — and people unlock the future.
At Walmart, our ongoing investments in associates are at the heart of everything we do. Today, we’re taking an important step forward by expanding access to skills needed for the future as technology continues to transform the way we work. Starting next year, Walmart Academy will offer a new, no-cost OpenAI certification to our U.S. associates. This program is part of our continued focus on upskilling and is designed to equip our associates with essential AI skills, supporting their growth and success as technology becomes an even greater part of our daily work. This effort is part of a broader OpenAI initiative and builds on our $1 billion commitment to training and development through 2026. With millions of participants, Walmart Academy remains the largest private training program in the world. Now, we’re adding AI to the curriculum to help associates at work and in their personal life in an increasingly digital world. Being people-led and tech-powered means investing in our associates, providing skills, tools and opportunities to shape the future of retail for our customers and communities. #Walmart #PeopleLedTechPowered #Opportunity
✨ Very impressed with #AI at Walmart and used it daily in Walmart app on mobile, for example to switch in between sparky auto-bots and L2 live-agents for the shopping 🛒 unmet needs for troubleshooting or seeking support (an effective help) is by far easier than any other automatic #AI agents on the customer-facing frontline through Walmart its own one of the most adaptive agentic #AI-#CX as ever experienced, this #digitaltransformation as done by Walmart by the end of 2024 until now shaped its scale-up services in the era of #AI, which is not about the tech itself but mainly about the experience, interaction, and engagement on the customer-facing frontline, utilizing #AI as an intelligent shopping assistant to serve people better: how to meet the customer's unmet needs better, how to get things done for them effectively (not only efficiently), how to generate outcomes for win-win (instead of outputs by adding entropy), and how to at the right time in the right place to deliver the right products and services w/ quality (by far beyond quantity). —— ✍️ Congrats to Walmart and to #learnitall from your team's great #adaptability in the deep water area of #digitaltransformation
Scaling AI knowledge across such a large workforce changes the conversation from using tools to shaping new systems. When millions can engage with AI meaningfully, it accelerates how industries reimagine operations and customer experiences. At Taskmonk, we see the same shift in enterprises adopting AI with better data and human oversight. Change starts when people and technology learn together.

Very impressive 👏
This is amazing!!!!
Amazing move 👏
Great move
I had been pushing the use of AI tools for many years at Walmart. One of the biggest pushes was suppliers and what they had to do with our legacy system. This was 12 years ago. Simple processes were complex in our systems. We fed so much data to suppliers to enter just to bid. Even with tech modernization I pushed the AI tools to allow suppliers to enter their data and let AI do the rest for bid creation. Unfortunately I was caught in the reorg and no longer have a role. I hope my ideas are finally considered and put to use.
