How do you onboard somebody in the simplest framework possible? Y.O.R.O. - You Only Ramp Once General rule of thumb here to maximize and simplify onboarding: Week 1: Learn industry and team members Week 2: Learn product and practice using it Week 3: Learn the process / tools / ops systems Week 4: Learn the messaging / pitch / demo and practice it Quiz at the end of the week on each of these to test for aptitude. Cynics will tell you this is too long to onboard and they need production sooner. I've yet to see a team implement this and give people the proper amount of time to acclimate and learn; and not win big.
