"all models are wrong - but some are useful" (Box) I wonder if these are useful concerning teams. Even if you to reject them the question is 'what are you doing to develop your team performance?' (image C-Serv)

Reduce Friction: Fast-track Progress When improving productivity of our teams & businesses, remove all friction points as much as you can. Here are a few I’ve heard & seen: 1) problem solving tools are not getting completed, 2) great Excel lists with too many actions where the teams are overwhelmed and don’t where to start, 3) plenty of solutions but we’re not clear of what the problem is. I’m helping this particular business to unlock their true excellence and we've identified two constraint points. I was working with one team and noticed that it is a busy floor with not a lot of wall space for whiteboards. So, I grabbed a piece of cardboard and stuck it onto the nearest wall and placed a flip chart sheet over it to capture team issues. I’ve asked the team to focus on one thing only for now – capture the reasons you need to walk away from your workstation and what tools they need to do good work. We got this up & running in 30mins. Don’t underestimate the power of simplicity and progress. #operaionalexcellence #problemsolving #engagement

You know what kills team momentum? Not lack of motivation. Not bad planning. Not tough projects. It's tool overload. Before MagicTask: Teams spent more time managing tools Than actually doing the work After switching? They found: More flow Less friction Better focus The difference? One system. One language. One direction. Keep it simple. Keep it moving. #MagicTask #SimplifyWork

If the tools built to help teams align are actually creating more friction — is the problem really the people, or the system? We’ve seen it happen everywhere: teams trying to connect strategy to outcomes while wrestling with tools that make the work harder, not clearer. The problem we kept seeing: 1️⃣ Tools bury insights under complexity. They feel dated and counterintuitive. Clarity should be the default, not a feature. 2️⃣ They’re rigid when teams need flexibility. Most tools force teams into a single framework instead of evolving with how the company works. 3️⃣ They create more work than they remove. People spend hours managing tools instead of getting value from them. 4️⃣ They don’t connect the dots. Information sits in silos, making it impossible to see how everything fits together. When the tools get in the way, strategy drifts, execution fragments, and outcomes lose meaning. What’s the biggest frustration your team has with the tools you use today?

Unstructured follow-ups are silent deal-killers. They scatter your team’s focus across tools, spreadsheets, and missed reminders. Closer Control brings everything into one system every task tracked, every next step clear, every deal moving forward.
