This was one of the most emotional moments of my past year. Playing the harp for my dying grandmother in the hospital room. My grandmother had pain all over her body, and after visiting the hospital, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, with some days or weeks to live. The first day of the diagnosis I went to tell her I love her. The second, I tool my harp with me. In the cancer unit of the hospital in Athens, I played for an hour. We entered the timeless, together. We shared a presence. So strong. I felt I had to accompagny her in her transition. While playing, she said « anatasi psichis » in greek. It means upliftment of the soul. This phrase resonates a lot with my intention in life. To create spaces, experiences and share information and energy that uplifts the soul, open the heart and reminds us who we truly are. It was the last day I saw my grandmother. She went back home and transitioned some days later, peacefully in her house, while sleeping. Sound, frequency and vibration are scientifically proven to have the power to heal, harmonize our bodies and open our hearts. This was my greek grandmother. I did tell her about Blissinner Garden: the land project close to Sounio. My french grandmother still lives, I deeply hope she will make it and visit the land to see the vision realized. Until then, I make sure to visit her often to share our presence with healing sounds & therapeutic music. #soundhealing #therapeuticmusic #deathawareness
